Careers in the science field each come with their own set of challenges. Aspiring wildlife biologists and current scientists should know what the major challenges are in the field. Wildlife biologists struggle to find a permanent job in general. Many research projects rely on the government’s funding, which can be limited. Often people do not realize how important biologists are to their environment and do not care to know the impact they, as regular citizens, have on their world. Biologists are discovering new species of animals constantly, along with learning new behaviors and traits about animals that we’ve known about for hundreds of years. The world’s ecosystems are changing all the time, so they need to be studied constantly. Wildlife biologists are needed and many are not aware of biologists’ importance to them and the world. Whether it be because the government has limited budgets for scientists or because people simply do not know there is a need for donations to keep projects going. There is also a lack of knowledge from new wildlife biologists themselves. Some do not realize the amount of work it takes to be a wildlife biologist and they lack the enthusiasm needed to find a permanent position in this line of work. Altogether, wildlife biologists are underrated and there needs to be an awareness of their importance, so there will be occupations for every scientist willing to help and preserve the
