Thank You Arizona Diamondbacks

Last year the Arizona Diamondbacks awarded our school with Diamondback tickets for the game on May 25th, 2012. I was able to attend the game with my parents and my little sister. It was the first professional sports game I have ever been to. It was a great experience for me to know more about the Diamondbacks and baseball. I had a lot of fun and it was a great memory I share with my family today. Thank you Diamondbacks for giving the students of Nikolaus Homestead Elementary such an amazing and meaningful opportunity!
I think I deserve the Diamondback tickets because I have worked very hard this year in every subject of school and reached all of my reading goals. I am able to balance my extracurricular activities along with sports, schoolwork and chores. I volunteer in the cafeteria and P.E. room during lunch and recess. I like to cook so when I saw that the Diamondbacks even participated in taste testing gourmet hot dogs for their signature dog, I became interested even more.
I’d love to learn more about baseball, especially the Diamondbacks in general. I do know that the first official Diamondbacks game was at home at the previously named Bank One Ballpark on March 31, 1998. Jay Bell was the first Diamondbacks player to officially be a Diamondback. The first D-Backs homerun was made by Travis Lee on March 31, 1998. Miguel Bautista was the first active MLB player to publish a novel and he kept a picture of Albert Einstein in his locker. Mr. Bautista also would not talk about baseball because he thought there were more important matters to talk about.
It was the generosity of the Arizona Diamondbacks that made me a fan of this team and all of its members. You have once already given
