Impact Club Reflection
It would be an honor to be a bigger part of Impact club, since last year I made a contribution to this club, more so than some officers, which greatly dissapointed me. With their positions I know I could have done a lot more, and so this year I decided to take the oppourtunity to become a member just so I could have greater "Impact" on the club. As a person, I consider myself to be extremely hard working and motivated. This summer I took on the challenge of skipping the course Algebra 2. I went to the library and studied nearly everyday, and in the end I was very successful, so I am now a year ahead of where I should be. In school this year I am actually taking 8 classes instead of 7, and 6 of those classes are pre-Ap or AP. I do not plan on taking any easy classes, …show more content…
I think it says a lot that even with all that I do I still managed to be a part of the club. On a day to day basis I always have something to do, but I believe that if you truly love and care about something time will not be an issue. I remember that day when I came to Berkner presents Berkner and saw the booth for Impact Club, and even though I had left my name on a sign-up sheet, I still had no idea what the club had been about. I kept this club in my mind and was actually shocked, when I finally fit into it. What I had always enjoyed about the cub was the fact that there were always oppourtunities to help out the community , but we had to take the initive and seize them. From the beginning I loved this club, and well now, I might have the chance to make others feel the same way. (I still would either way.) I plan to not dissapoint this year, although now because of my 8th class, I sadly cannot attend morning meetings before 8. Nonetheless, I will try to work a lot harder than I did last year, and in the end I know it will all be worth

Education has always been one of the most important things to me, and I am dedicated to learn as much as humanly possible. Throughout my high school career I have challenged myself by completing six advanced placement classes and taking other honors classes. I have taken these classes as a way to help guide myself for what is to come in the future in college. I was inducted into the National Honors Society during my junior year of high school, and I graduated with honors. Both of these successes are the two greatest accomplishments of my high school career. These two achievements prove how dedicated I was, and still am, to getting the best education I could. My quality of dedication will stick with me throughout my future endeavors.…

When I first stepped into Anderson High School as a freshman, I was exceedingly confident in myself. I played sports, had gotten good grades, and planned to have an amazing high school career. Freshman and sophomore year were a breeze. If I am being straightforward, I did not focus much on my schoolwork. I did what was required of me and got good grades, but I did not go above and beyond. I had always been told by upperclassman, “It only gets harder from here. Enjoy it while you can.” Now I realize what that means.…

I didn’t know if I could do it. I had been out of school for 13 years but I knew I was tired of dead end jobs and that it is what my family needed me to do to provide for them. So the thought of my wife and kids is what I used to get me to go back to school and get a degree. Finally with maintaining a grade point average of 3.0 or better has been my goal since I started. There have been ups and downs but I know that if I keep up my grade point average then I may be able to get a better job than if I just skate by and just go for the bare minimum. Over all I would have to say that my level of persistence is average and I say this due to the fact that I am a firm believer that you can always better yourself. By striving to always better yourself you will always see the world as a glass…

I had some challenges in the first semester. I realized that it gets harder every year. I felt like ninth grade was a bit easier than this year. The final for English was easy. There were only two questions. We took a final for the novel, To Kill A Mockingbird. My goal is to have good grades, but also pass every class so that I don’t have to retake any. I want to be able to graduate on time. It always gets hard when almost end of the semester. That is the time when teachers start to give out more work. It’s a good idea but the same time bad. It can help bring grades up for some people. Most people are lazy so they rather not do it and fail the semester. My challenge was trying to focus with so many distractions in the way.…

    Becoming An AP Student

As a child I was always warned to not slack up, to instead pick up the pace and keep fighting for more. I translated this to my education; whenever the opportunity to take advanced courses like Honors, and AP came i fought to have a place in those courses. My entire experience in middle School and High School was (and is) a constant struggle to stay on top, on top of my responsibilities, obligations, and struggles. As a student I am proud to have made the decision of becoming an AP student, since it will better prepare me to merge into the flow and atmosphere of Universities. The life of an AP student is quite stressful and always occupied, with new assignments being piled up both in class and out. It is and was a constant struggle to complete…

To be part of this organization is such a great opportunity because it teaches me how to be a better person, and makes me more aware of what is going on in our society. Life as it is has a lot of problems, and I would love to give back. Even just to help a little bit, to make time for other people, and to serve is something that I would like to be part of. There are people who are homeless, and I want to provide for them. There are people who are starving, and I want to feed them. All of this gives me the feeling of fulfillment as a person, as a member of the community, and as a member of the National Junior Honors Society. So, definitely, I would be more than proud to be part of this society.…

Almost immediately after receiving my final grades i decided to drop my AP classes. I also was extremely discouraged to join any clubs since i felt that disappointed in myself for not being able to get decent grades. However , with time i learned that what i was able to accomplish was actually amazing; I extremely challenged myself to-do something that was way out of my comfort zone. I acquired skills that I know will be extremely helpful to me in college. All by myself I was able to learn, how to learn the material on my own. I was able to demonstrate to myself that I do have the capability to come up with different possible solutions to obstacles that I face. I also learned that through perseverance and determination, I am able to still accomplish, at least a part of, my goals even in the toughest of…

Being a nominee, I realize that the National Honor Society is an honor to be in itself. Since The National Honor Society is dedicated to helping the needy, children, the elderly and non-profit organizations. I feel that this is the right society for me because since I was a child, I have been noted for my exceptional empathy. My parents have always instilled in me a sense of responsibility and care for others. I feel obligated to utilize my gifts in an organization as prestigious as the National Honor Society. All throughout school I have participated in many clubs and organizations that have not only molded me as a person, but have helped me to develop responsibility, and leadership skills. Currently I am an active member of National Honor Society, and DECA. Both of these organizations, provided by my high school, encourage leadership, volunteer work, and have high expectations for behavior, and grades. Being in National Honor Society has shown me to continually do for others in need. There are always opportunities to get involved with the community, and even create drives for things like stuffed animals, and blankets for children who are sick in the hospital, and “Care Catties” for cancer patients, which include tissues, water bottles, hard candy, and lotion. DECA is another organization I am involved in at Frenship High School. DECA is a business organization for high school marketing students looking to learn, develop and compete in a competitive event. I have been a member since my sophomore…

I have worked and pushed myself through my high school career from taking all non honors classes my freshman year, to honors my sophomore year, to then most of my classes being AP my junior and senior year. I have worked hard to get good grades and pushed myself into taking classes that would not only challenge me, but put me out of my comfort zone. Yet I have always been a hard worker. My parents such as myself are immigrants, I had to work hard entering a foreign school system where neither I or my parents knew the language. Easy homework tasks were difficult to complete yet I worked hard to get at the level of my peers by checking out books at the library and forcing myself to attempt to understand the words on the page. I continued…
