* Team Cohesion-“a dynamic process that is reflected in the tendency of a team to stick together and remain together in pursuit of its goals and objectives regardless of the difficulties and set-backs (Kent, 2006)” * Two main components: task cohesion and social cohesion. * Task cohesion- ability a team has to work together to achieve a specific goal. Social cohesion is the level of which the team members like one another and enjoy each other’s company. * Cohesion improved/ developed through specific strategies teach members ways to work together and respect each as well. * Outcome to these strategies to improve class team’s approach of the game * Developed by practise- to improve skill level of players, setting goals so team accomplish them together and by also specific roles feel needed. * Conduceted Lenk (1969) found that to improve performance, task cohesion is needed more than social cohesion (Blackburn, 2012). * Task cohesion- affects how team works together * social cohesion- focuses how gets along. * Term our class split into two separate teams players who are unfamiliar with the sport, don’t have interest in the sport or may be experienced on field. * Most players have during class regardless if enjoy the sport or not; team have trouble together cause teammate’s each have different level experience between them. * improve of skill between them- main strategy used is training sessions. setting sessions players learn commitment, by punctual and attending * learn/improve their own techniques result being able to perform better field. * sessions the drills could focus on partner to help social cohesion between team. * training also players to learn each other’s abilities so themselves able to work with their successfully. * strategy be used improve team cohesion is express desire to work as team. * Developing team goals all players wish to achieve then develop ways help the players
