Contrast essay on The Great Dane to an American Pitbull Terrier

The Great Dane and American Pitbull terrier are different in many ways. The Dane is a

very complex dog, you have to have a lot of free time to care of he/she all the time. As for the

Pitbull this dog doesn’t need much attention I mean yes give it attention but you don’t have to

baby it so to speak for him/her to be occupied.

In history, the Great Dane has many names some of them are; German mastiff, deutsche

dogge, and gentle giant. They come from German bloodlines, they are also known for their

multi-talented personality which means they are loving, quiet, responsive, alert, friendly,

intelligent, loyal and social. The Great Dane is very stubborn, in some words; owners need to

have patience and perseverance to train them and might need to seek out obedience schools.

Even though they have many negative things they have positive ones to. They are get watchdogs,

if an intruder does come upon them they will bark and alert the owner of the intruder’s presence.

They are a very good reliable companion with this ability can give more peace of mind that the

owner is safe. Furthermore, the Great Dane is a dependable dog to protect the owner and their

family. Great Danes life span is 6-8 years, weight 130-180lbs. and height is 35inches.

The American Pitbull Terrier is originated from the U.S. They also have multi-

personality, and they are affectionate, cheerful, alert, friendly, intelligent, loyal, and social. They
