People can say Chihuahua’s are high energy, and while it may have a small truth to that it that, their energy runs out quickly. A 30 minute walk or less can take care of that and it doesn’t have to be every day. On the other hand German Shepherds are definitely high energy – high exercise dogs. Apart from they’re friendly once they get to know you, they are intelligent but also are willing to run and run and run. Great for police departments whom have suspects they are chasing. Dogs like that need daily exercise that will use up that energy or will turn into a problem such as destroying furniture or digging holes which could lead to them escaping. Chihuahuas are capable of doing the same but with a small walk it’ll be taken care…
This may be needed to deliver a testimony or defend against a statement. Police dogs are trained to behave and be tame in social settings, and they become increasingly better at handling new places, settings and environments.…

Often described as gentle giants, English Mastiffs weigh in at around 220 pounds or more and stands between 28 and 36 inches tall. Though the English Mastiff temperament is known to extremely gentle and loving towards family members, the breed's sheer size makes the Mastiff best for a more experienced dog owner. If you choose this breed, understand that you'll need to start training and socializing your dog early so you can reliably direct 200-pounds of muscle with a spoken command. General English Mastiff Temperament Patient and nurturing, these sweet dogs are terrific with children and happy to take a friendly romp with other family pets if they have been raised together. Mastiffs form fierce bonds with their humans and, as a result, make wonderful companion animals.…
A brief history is that pitbulls are a big part of the past immigrants brought these unique animals with them as part as their family. Dogs were trained to be kind and gentle with humans but protect the family from predators with aggression. If couldn’t comply with being gentle but protective the dog was put down because risks couldn't be taken. The most decorated dog of World War I was a Pit Bull named Sergeant Stubby. In between his 17 battles on the Western Front, the legendary pooch helped comfort wounded soldiers.…

In about a quarter of fatal dog-bite cases, the dog owners were previously involved in illegal fighting. The dogs that bite people are, in many cases, socially isolated because their owners are socially isolated, and they are vicious because they have owners who want a vicious dog. The junk-yard German shepherd -- which looks as if it would rip your throat out -- and the German shepherd guide dog are the same breed. But they are not the same dog, because they have owners with different intentions. (qtd. in Argument in support of breed bans).…
There are many ways in which people tend to abuse of animals. An example is neglect, meaning that between a pet and the owner there is a “failure to provide an animal with the most basic of requirements of food, water, shelter and veterinary care” (What). Dogfighting is another example. Dogfights are events when two dogs are put inside a fighting pit and are forced to fight until the other one is dead or is too weak to fight back. The fights are brutal and the owners abandon the loosing dogs with only a couple more hours to live because of its deadly injuries or inhumanly kill the dogs themselves. The winning dog owner gets a money price. Most of the dogs that are considered to not be good enough to be entered in the pit and be victorious are used as bait to train other dogs or as breeding dogs where they are constantly exploited. All of these actions that people inflict on the animals can make them become very scared of humans, other dogs and their surroundings causing them to be very…
The Australian Shepherd is one of the happiest and most loyal dog breeds on the planet. They are affectionate and aim to please. Their nature is to be friendly and trusting and they expect the same in return when meeting new people or other dogs. When encountering a pooch that isn’t so nice, they will not interact. Rather, they will head in a direction away from that dog.…
[Jacque], an employee at OC Animal Care in Orange, CA, said, “They’re just like any other dog. They require just as much time as any other dog, so if you have that.…They can be good dogs.” Though they seem scary or aggressive, they can be just like other dogs with training. All dogs need training. When Wakeling spoke about her dog, she said, “I’m totally responsible for how well behaved he is.” Every dog owner is responsible for how they train their dog.…
Soldier dogs undergo months of training. They learn things like obedience, identifying the enemy, identifying certain scents, and lots of other things. What My Dogs Have Taught Me I’ve taught my dogs many things. How to sit, how to stop jumping all over guests, and how to stop wiggling their butts all over people as a greeting (okay, I’m still working on that one). But what have my dogs taught me over the years? My German Shepherd, Trooper, was neglected by a police officer for the first year of his life, but we rescued him and he had nine happy years with our family, where he was loved unconditionally.…
Germans mainly immigrated because their country was being attacked by other nationalities. People who lived in the southern part of Germany were robbed and tortured. Villages were being burnt down. The rulers of Germany tried to keep the people from leaving but did not succeed. In 1709 about 3,000 Germans crossed the Atlantic and arrived in New York. By 1745 there were 45,000 Germans living in just Pennsylvania (Immigration: The journey to America). In the 1800s Germans were flooding into the United States for different reasons (Immigration: The journey to America). The advancing modernization and population growth force people to shut down their businesses and Trips to the U.S. became cheaper and faster. Americans accepted them as white people. Germans kept to themselves.…
