Currently, the unit manning document (UMD) is sufficient. However, the document does not account for personnel that are deployed, TDY, or on leave. This issue is not considered a manning issue at this time. We need to streamline processes to prevent members from being overtasked as our overall workload is increasing as the Wing grows.…

During my first quarter my mission is to coordinate with RCCCs at RCT active duty installations in order to increase the number of soldiers who select appointment into the New Jersey Army National Guard after completing their active duty obligations. I place my emphasis on potential MSO reductions by 1 year or more, as well as the 2 year stabilization policy available to soldiers who are transitioning off of active duty into the Reserve Component. Other events that take place during the first quarter of the FY are briefing the RSP Soldiers on the Warrant Officer Program and visiting the Universities to speak with the MS III’s and IV’s for possible aviators.…

When a man volunteers for the army he agrees to follow a set of general and specific guidelines set forth by many men before him. These guidelines are expected to be met by every soldier in the military, whether thought to be stupid or mundane, every soldier will meet these standards or punishment will ensue. These rules are important to maintain the army's tradition of excellence of dominance. We are the best at what we do, we have discovered a formula which produces greatness, and as such it should be followed. Part of this formula is the uniform code. Although simple, and easy to follow, soldiers(such as myself) may sometimes fall short of the knowledge required to maintain it. Some choose to completely ignore it. It is important to repeatedly answer the demands of AR670-1 to build a disciplined soldier, one who attends work everyday with the required materials and who acts like an army soldier.…

Without training prior to mobilization and deployment, National Guard Soldiers lack the skills necessary to be effective on deployments. This leads to Commanders lacking confidence in HUMINT Soldiers and ineffective use of Soldiers. As the Active Duty Component draws down in size, the role of National Guard and Army Reserve Soldiers will inevitably increase. This means these Soldiers must be ready to step in and perform their duties effectively. To prepare Soldiers for this task, leaders must ensure proper training for their Soldiers prior to mobilization. Unit leaders should add advanced HUMINT training to Soldier career paths. Finally, mobilization training centers may need to adjust the duration and focus of training to bring HUMINT Soldiers to an acceptable level and better contribute to overall success of the…

Rivalry – The degree of rivalry is high in the kiwifruit industry this is because exporters in four countries (China, New Zealand, Italy, and Chile) dominate the industry which puts a squeeze on current and new rivals. Also the global increase of kiwifruit production has led to more supply which in turn affects the competition. In addition there is not many variations or species of kiwifruit available on the market with exclusion of Zespri’s gold . Therefore majority of exporters are selling the same product with different to no variation in quality. Lastly the kiwifruit is niche product in the fruit industry and only accounts for a small amount of the retailer’ sales. Therefore competition to gain shelf space in grocery stores and supermarkets are high.…
