A Hero Doesn’t Always Wear a Cape

A hero doesn’t always wear a cape. Mine wears a badge. My hero is my mom. She’s experienced heartbreak and tragedy, but she powers through it all. My mom grew up in Springport, MI with her Mom( Carol Caudill), Dad(Don Caudill), and her brother (Tim Caudill). She is sort of short with dark, brown hair. While my mom was in high school many tragic things happened to her, but the worst of all of those things was her Dad being diagnosed with leukemia. At a young age of 21, her Dad passed away. My mom is caring, hardworking, a fighter, and most importantly she is my hero.

After she and my dad were divorced, my mom had to be a single parent. My mom takes overtime anytime she gets to pay for fun things for my sister and I. Even though she is tired from a long day, she makes dinner every night and cleans the house. My mom also volunteers for lots of things such as planning and setting up the Sheriff's golf outing every year. She drives us everywhere we need to go and all those reasons and more is why my mom is a hardworking person.

My last and final reason is that my mom fights through tough times. Her dad dying wasn’t the only tragedy to happen to her. Before I was alive, my mom had a miscarriage. Just this year 3 of her friends/ co-workers have committed suicide just this year. All the pain she has experienced at work and in life is unimaginable. Although all these things have been hard on her, she powers through the tough times. She puts a smile on her face and fights through the heartbreak.

My mom is supportive, hardworking, a fighter, and most importantly she is my hero. I hope to be half the person she is one day and more. I could not live my life without her. She fights through the tough times and is never weak. If everyone was as kind and caring as my mom, the world would be a paradise. A hero doesn’t always wear a cape. Mine wears a

One kind of hero that exists all over the world is the everyday hero. The person that I consider my everyday hero is my mother. The qualities that make her my hero are her way of doing things, and also how she sacrifices herself for me. For example, she is responsible and shows her stronger side in front of us when we are facing difficult times. Also she is so lovely that almost everyone likes her when they meet her. She always says to me that her duties are to look after me but at the same time to give me the freedom to make mistakes and find bright sides of my mistakes. The way that she influences me is that I see that sometimes she leaves what she is doing for her to take care of me. Even though many people argue that heroes are not real, I will disagree with them because I believe that everybody has a hero who protects them and looks after them.…

My hero is my mom. My mom is a person who has many responsibilities, but is always willing to give her time to help others. She always understands what I am going through. She knows what’s it like being a fifteen year old and going through high school. She is always there for me when I need help with homework or advice on how to do a presentation or studying for a final. She tells me what are the best things to do and the bad things not to do about relationships, friendships, and in school. “Everyone in this world makes mistakes, no one’s perfect, but if you put in the effort to try and do your best, that’s all that counts.” This is the quote my mom told me once and told me to always remember it because it is something that will help me with life. My hero is one that is very close to me. My hero is the person that gave birth to me. My hero is my mother. I chose my mom as my hero because to me that is what she is and more. My mom is literally the backbone in the family. She takes care of everything in the family and around the house. Before I began to drive my mom would take me everywhere. My mother like many others has been to the moon and back just to help me. She is such a kind person, she gives me advice about anything, she is always helping me convince my dad about anything, and most importantly she helps me get away with everything. My mom is not just my mother she is more than that, she is like the best friend I could ever have. I remember the amount of times that I had castings and my mom would drop everything she was doing to pick me up from school, take me home to fix myself up, and then drive to the castings wherever it was that they were. My mother is perhaps one of the mentally strongest people that I know. She has been through so much throughout her life that I don’t even know how she was able to get through everything. Most of what I know about life lessons it is because she has taught me. My mom is the most inspiring, talented, and intellectual person ever. There was this one time where she told me this sad story about her and her first boyfriend which for her was the most embarrassing thing ever and I really don’t blame her. What that guy did to her was terrible but she got through it. She told me that story as an example of how to explain to not trust anybody no matter who they are or how much you think you know them. My mom wasn’t born in America she was born in Cuba though she did travel to the United States because she was an athlete. Her water polo team was an olympic team in Cuba, therefore, they were invited to many places outside of Cuba. Out of her entire family she was the first person to leave Cuba at her age and the she left it indefinitely when my dad came. Of…
