Wade Watts The main character of the story “Ready Player One” Is a very nerdy kid who isn’t very popular (yet) and is poor. I believe Ernest Cline made Wade like this because he wanted to show that even if you are poor you can still be more adept then people with privileges you may not have. Wade goes to highschool in the Oasis because in the real world he was bullied and hated everything. So when the opportunity showed itself he was able to apply for going to school in the Oasis his dream came true
