A1. Viability of Product or Service: Spice King is an Indian Cuisine and Sweets restaurant located in Renton, WA. Their current site, www.spicekingrenton.com, could use some work to increase their web imprint and bring more business to the company. The restaurant is located within a small ethnic grocery shopping mart on a side street in Renton. The restaurant is frequented by the local shoppers but offers so much more than just a quick lunch. They offer a range of Indian food and desserts and offer delivery and catering. Delivery and catering orders are primarily done via phone call. Customer feedback shows because of current site deficiencies, few orders are created online. Most customers give up and call the restaurant to place orders. It’s unknown how many simply relinquish their order altogether. “Almost 30% of restaurants say online ordering has increased the volume of their orders and 27% say they've improved their service as a result.” (mashable.com) The current lack of orders from traffic to the site suggests expanding on Spice King’s existing web site would prove beneficial and create awareness and increase customer interest in the restaurant as well as direct business to offsite work.
The restaurant itself is small with a kitchen, front counter space, and two small lobbies for customers. Catering and deliveries allow business expansion without having to expand geographically. Already great food, this will allow Spice Kings growth without added cost. Orders submitted through the web site are completed with less interaction than a phone conversation allowing employees to focus more time on their in store customers. If the site is easy and fast, customers are more likely to make repeat purchases. Customers want instant gratification with no extra fees. Catering orders can be made 24/7 and with detailed information on the site to answer all the customers’ questions, they

Websites are used in many different businesses nowadays, yet they aren’t exactly needed in some. They will benefit a business if they are put in place in order to achieve their aims, which generally is to make a profit. The ways in which they can achieve their aims is done by ensuring that the business analyse how exactly they will achieve their aims on a whole and identify the certain objectives that they have in order to be a successful business. The business that I am going to study is Kells Lane Fish Bar, which is located on Low Fell in Gateshead. The business has been up and running for 21 years now and was put there in order to offer a traditional fish shop menu to anyone who entered the shop. The business offers to sell products to many customers, in which this means they will respond to the demand of the customers and therefore are part of a business to consumer relationship. At this current time the fish shop doesn’t actually have a website for their business however there are plenty of ways on the internet to which you can find the number for the shop. I feel that it would be very beneficial to the business if they were to open up a website as it allows for a lot more customers to see the existence of the business and as well as this I feel that if they were able to put on an ordering service for example then the shop would be flowing a lot easier and would perhaps again lead to more customer attention.…

We think that the Successorie’s executive team should transform the company from a catalog to business to a mostly online business. Their sales have been declining and Miler has run out of cost cutting options. Successorie’s mails out 24- 30 fat catalogs each year to tens of thousands of people. We think that they should print a couple of smaller catalogs and send to their most valuable clients, Successories should consider sending out postcards or flyers to the rest of the customers to advertise their new and improved website. Consumers are changing and businesses as well, consumers now days enjoy shopping online. As long as their website is clear, simple and had all the information needed on a product this idea can help them increase sales and decrease expenses. Financial forecasts showed that a successful e-commerce strategy could increase sales by 20 percent and reduce production costs from 25 percent to less than 15 percent of sales. The cost of upgrading the web site is $400,000, and the company’s cash balance is tight. If the e-commerce strategy fails, the company would most like have to close its doors.…

When assignments and projects are handed to a group at work, some team members tend to do all the work. This mostly occurs when a member gives up control, shunning himself or herself from the team. Since most companies assign work needed to be completed as a group, one person can't be given all the work. Having an uncommitted group can derail the group from accomplishing their goal. For example, having an employee refuse to cooperate in a team gives another person his workload. If that person doesn’t commit to the team, someone then has to take his workload. The end result is a person stuck with lots of work needed to be done in their hands. All this can happen in any group, in any company.…

It would be quite interesting to hear what family and co-workers would have to say about myself and my accomplishments in the time of my passing. I have had the privilege of growing up in a very supportive home, where I was unconditionally loved. My family instilled in me the values that I carry with me everywhere and they are a part of who I am as well as what I pride myself on. I would hope that they would appreciate and acknowledge the values they instilled in me. These are such values as honesty, integrity, respect, honor, truthfulness, loyalty, trust, and reliability. I feel I owe it to my parents and family to create a positive image of them when I am away from them. My mother and my father would agree that I have chosen a life based on the values they have given me, and also did my best to carry them on to the family I created as well. Whatever I do reflects on them and they would say I made sure that whatever I did, I did it good and responsibly. I am very grateful for my family but at the same time realize that not everyone had the opportunities I was given. When raising a child one is taught values by their families that they feel are important for their child to have. Values that are important in my family are honesty, trust and to have respect for others. They would say I upheld these values in all aspects of my life and made them proud. Each of these values is equally important in my family and they would say they played a big role into making me the person I am now.…
