This world is full of the benefits of technology. Therefore, we are sometimes depending on technology too much. For example, one person would not move from house. He can order something to eat by telephone. He can also buy clothes by Internet. This kind of service is used delivery system, so he doesn’t need to move from his house. This is one of benefits of technology called transportation. It’s not only that man. It can refer to us. If we don’t have a telephone, it’s too inconvenient. We can’t talk to people who live a long distance from our house, even in the same town. If we don’t have a TV or radio, we can’t get exact information about the world. If we don’t have a car, we can’t go too far. It’s so inconvenient, especially in the USA. However, the most important thing for me is the airplane. If we didn’t have airplanes, I couldn’t come to this ELC and I couldn’t write this composition. These are just example I imagine. I can present more examples if I want. Therefore, we have to keep company with technology in a good way to save the environment, many creatures, and, of course, the earth itself.
Everyone has seen the moody, withdrawn kid with music blasting out of his white earbuds, or the girl rapidly texting on her phone. The youth of today are constantly immersed in technological advancements that promote nonstop communication and instant gratification, whether through cell phones, gaming systems, laptops, or MP3 players. Dante Alighieri once said “Avarice, envy, pride, three fatal sparks, has set the hearts of all on fire.” This quote connects to the short story “The Scarlet Ibis” written by James Hurst, which also portrays the idea that acts of courage can develop and nurture personal integrity. The story is introduced by the narrator that confesses how everyone in his family was convinced their new born baby boy Doodle (also referred as the protagonist’s younger brother known as “Brother”) was crippled, mentally, and physically disabled. Although it is later on known that Doodle is indeed a healthy human being mentally but has slight difficulties physically. The narrator’s shame towards Doodle’s limitations helps build his determination into the brother that he longs for. However, Brother’s expectations pushes Doodle constantly past the point of physical endurance. Doodle does learn a lot from Brother, but everything he comprehends comes at a ultimately high & dangerous price to Doodle to a certain extent where he purposefully abandons his weak brother, & he puts him to an early death, in which later he is wallowed through self-condemnation.…

In this generation, technology and society go hand and hand. Technology and human life cannot be separated in the perspective of various people. Society has grown to have a co-dependence on technology. As stated by Fareed ZakAria in his article “How to Restore the American dream”, “technology is not only affecting society, but its creating a better reality. Everything is able to be achieved through ease” (Zakaria 460). In a broader view, we depend on technology for everything. Each individual in the world today uses this new entity in their daily lives. The use has become too great, that most of the time it’s viewed as a habit. The demand for technology keeps on increasing everyday as we use technology to travel, to communicate, to learn, and to handling business but most importantly, to live in peace and comfort. In the article, “Technology & Society: A Canadian Perspective”, the authors said the following about technology. “Technology and Society, we are told exist in a dynamic reciprocal relationship; they act on, and react to, one another” (Goyder and Aant). Without technology society is able to…

Every day at school, I see people with white ear buds blasting music out. Even a girl rapidly texting on her phone under her desk during class. During lunch, my friends always have their iPod or smart phone out. While I was in cultural geography, when we were doing our competency a girl besides me said, "Mr.Lee is there any website on the computer that isn't blocked, so that I could listen to music because my iPod runs out of battery quickly if I listen to music." I know that for some people listening to music helps them, but when I heard this question I thought, "Are you serious?" Also every time I check Facebook (which is rare) there's always the same 8 people posting often and is almost always on. I don't think using these new technological advancements is always a good thing. The worst aspect of many teens today is that they are too obsessed with technology. Although technology provides an easier way to communicate and gives instant-gratification, technology has negatively influenced teenager's social interactions because it removes them from reality, hinders our…

Broadly speaking, technology is how people modify the world to suit their own purposes. From the Greek word techne, meaning art or artifice or craft, technology literally means the act of making or crafting, but more generally it refers to the diverse collection of processes and knowledge that people use to extend human abilities and to satisfy human needs and wants. Technology has been going on since humans first formed a blade from a piece of flint, harnessed fire, or dragged a sharp stick across the ground to create a furrow for planting seeds, but today it exists to a degree unprecedented in history. Planes, trains, and automobiles carry people and cargo from place to place at high speeds. Telephones, television, and computer networks help people communicate with others across the street or around the world. Medical technologies, from vaccines to Stem Cell therapy, allow people to live longer, healthier lives. 200 years ago people’s average age of death was from 40 to 45. But now it’s 75.Furthermore, technology is evolving even as we speak, with new technologies…

Technology today is advancing every single day. It judges us by what we do and how we live. I say it judges us because well, we need it to live, like a pace maker, or simply a cell phone to look at emails from work and if we missed the then we wouldn’t know what is going on within the company. Technology is also everywhere and no matter where we turn it will keep on advancing our lives as long as we have the funds to afford it. Networking Technology is now the number one technology because without it, you cannot stream movies, play your Xbox 360/ PlayStation 3, and 4 games online against people all over the world.…
