Digestive System
The digestive system is a group of organs that is responsible for moving food in and out of the body.
The digestive system also works very closely with nerves and blood.
Obesity
Obesity is a health condition when an excess of body fat has an adverse effect on the body.
Obesity is when an individual’s with a BMI greater than or equal to 25.
Circulatory System
The circulatory system consists of the heart, blood vessels, and the blood that go through the body.
The circulatory system is directly linked to the nervous system.
Hypertension
Hypertension is high blood pressure.
Hypertension is determined by the amount of blood your heart pumps and the resistance of blood flow in your arteries.
Immune System
The immune system is responsible for helping to eliminate antigens.
The immune system helps to fight off infections.
Cardiac Disease
Cardiac disease is a disease of the heart and blood vessels, and can be life threatening.
There are many different kinds of cardiac diseases: cardiomyopathy, vascular disease, heart failure, and arrhythmias, to name a few.
Respiratory System
The respiratory system is responsible for the exchange and intake of oxygen and carbon dioxide.
The respiratory system includes the larynx, trachea, bronchial tubes, nasal passages, and lungs.
Nervous System
The nervous system is all the cells, nerves, and tissues in the body.
The nervous system makes a person feel pain.
Cancer
Cancer is a group of abnormal cells in a certain location or multiple locations of a person’s body.
Cancer attacks the immune system.
Skeletal System
The skeletal system is made up of bones, joints and cartilage.
The skeletal system protects the body.
Endocrine System
The endocrine system is made up of hormones and endocrine glands throughout the body.
The endocrine system includes tissues, cells, and organs in the body.
Diabetes
Diabetes is a disorder that makes your body not produce enough insulin to control blood sugar levels.
There are 3 types of diabetes: type 1, type 2, and gestational diabetes.
