Xbox360 vs Ps3 Graphic Comparison
We expected the PlayStation 3 to ship with several games that first appeared on the Xbox 360, similar to how the Xbox 360 had a lot of Xbox ports at launch. And the PS3 did indeed arrive with a good number of games that originally shipped for the Xbox 360. This gave us the perfect opportunity to compare the graphics on both systems with several cross-platform games. You'd think that the PS3 versions would be exactly the same or slightly superior to the Xbox 360 versions, since many of these games appeared on the 360 months ago, but it seems like developers didn't use the extra time to polish up the graphics for the PS3. We found that the Xbox 360 actually had better graphics in the majority of the games we compared.

Need for Speed Carbon

Both systems have fairly similar graphics in Need for Speed Carbon, but the Xbox 360 has better lighting while the PS3 has sharper textures. The 360 has better high dynamic range lighting in the Camaro image. We're not sure if the PS3 version blurs the background tree leaves on purpose, but it's another noticeable difference. The lighting in the street shot appears more realistic on the 360, but the building textures are sharper on the PS3. We also seem to be missing some lighting and a few landmarks in the rearview mirror of the PS3 version.

Call of Duty 3

Call of Duty 3 has made its way onto just about every major console, but it definitely looks best on the Xbox 360. The PlayStation 3 comes in a close second, but the 360 is the clear winner. The textures have less detail on the PS3, and the game looks a little washed out. Between the overly bright visuals and muddy textures, the PlayStation 3 can't match the 360 version's gritty

So many of my friends say that Call of Duty: Black Ops II is way better than Halo 4 because it’s more realistic than Halo. The guns are way better than Halo’s. COD is better than this. Better than that. Ya-dee-ya-dee-ya. Is that all they can say? That Call of Duty’s guns are better than Halo 4’s. On the contrary, Halo 4 is superior compared to Black Ops II because the campaign is well-written, the multiplayer is exhilarating, and the graphics are amazing.…

To turn around the sales of PS3, Sony should upgrade and go more details of interesting games, spotty support for PS2 games and uninspiring online capabilities to capture the interest of the consumers. In the market, Xbox 360 has been for more than a year and the price is $200 less than PS3. Thus, as the production needs to create more advance games and interesting features to win Xbox 360, the management should consider about pricing in the market. If the product has the same quality with high price in the competitive market, the consumers would not give consideration to purchase. So, even the price of the product is a little bit more expensive and quality is in higher level, it is worth to purchase and the sale will surely be increased.…

Sony made their advertisement is sending out a very clear message the advertise is also quite interesting and that made people quite anxious about it. “Greatness Awaits”; this quote brought curiousness for the people, and since people already knew how the previous PlayStation (PS3) was, they would expect a lot more in it, and they were not disappointed at all, it was a success for Sony. People did not expect that much, but greatness was required in order to maintain its growth as a video game console (getting better and better through the time).…

Console gaming has certainly made a huge jump in what it used to be. I can remember the 4 bit days, where Atari's sold out stores. Now you buy a game, and it looks so real, it is like you are actually there. Many people like the controller a console has to offer, or whether they don't feel like spending the time or money using a computer, as they are far more complex.…

Apart from being so old that it’s primarily just a source of nostalgia these days, the Nintendo 64 is still amazing. It was really revolutionary in its time, and still influences games to this day. The Nintendo 64 was actually originally intended to be called the Ultra 64. Due to the fact that Nintendo wanted to keep the line of game systems titles continuous from the Nintendo Entertainment System, and then the ‘Super’ Nintendo Entertainment System, Ultra would have been next. They decided against this in the end, however, and settled for Nintendo. The 64 part came from the fact that this was the first system to use a 64 bit gaming system. While everybody accepts this fact, it was debated over by Atari, who claimed that their Jaguar system used 64 bit programming. While it did have some 64 bit programming, it was only in certain aspects of the game and not available game. In comparison, the current X-box 360’s have 128 bits. So the Nintendo 64 has half of the bits that the most advanced gaming systems today have. To account for the huge difference in the qualities of these systems, the difference is the graphics processing power. The Nintendo 64 runs at 62.5 mhz., while the X-box 360 runs at 500 mhz. So running the Nintendo 64 at 500 mhz. would have graphics half as good as any current gaming system. Considering that the Nintendo 64 was made in 1996 and the 360 was made in 2005, this proves how innovative and advanced the Nintendo 64 really was and is.…

This corporation has many different brands to offer to the public. Yet, only one stands out in my opinion, and that's the PlayStation 4. The PlayStation gaming system has been around for many years. Now in there are plenty of features that stands out. The price is one of the most interesting factors. Sony has dropped the price in the early stage of the PlayStation 4 to affordable price of $299.00. Making it's a affordable gaming console that offers a wide range of different games. Another reason why I enjoy this gaming console it offers a built in wifi system with no extra cost. Other features that makes this brand stand out is the graphics and design of the console. With any type of computer like system the heart of it is the central processing unit. This feature gives the PlayStation 4 an excellent graphic experience that causes individual to fall in love with its system. The gaming console controller is featured with gripped handles and easy to understand movements of the controls.…

    Sony Porter's Five Forces

The Sony Playstation faces mostly two rather equally balanced competitors – Microsoft’s XBOX and Nintendo’s Wii. The R&D costs are very high here due to the extensive amount of technological know-how and brand identity needed to develop these products. The switching costs are high since the games are not portable from one platform to another. There is a constant pressure to innovate and churn our faster and more powerful consoles every few years or else the competition will surpass/kill you. The profit margins on the actual game consoles sold are quite low and sometimes even non-existent. This is because the business model of these companies is such that they rely largely on the royalties earned on the actual games (discs) sold. In other words, this is a two-sided market – on one hand the 3 companies in this industry manufacture gaming consoles and there is a separate group of game development companies which make the games that run on their consoles). All these attributes indicate that the existing industry rivalry is quite high.…
