My strategy for writing a paper requires me write a rough draft, take sometime to reread it and then type it making sure everything is spelled correctly. Then making sure all my grammar is correct through out my entire paper also, making sure that I have the correct punctuation everywhere its needed. Then after typing up everything I go through the paper one last time to make sure there isn’t anything I need to add or take out which is usually where I see where I need to change my sentence structure and add certain works or move sentences to different paragraphs.…

In the writing process my greatest concern would be the revising phase. After my first draft is completed, I ought to make a decision ways to improve my writing. It requires looking at my writing at a different point of view. I need to analyze my writing to look for clarity and decide if I need to add information. Furthermore, I essentially need to decide if my writing peaks my reader’s interest and be believable. When writing an assignment for class my approach is simple; Research, prewriting, rough draft, editing, and final draft. Whether or not the assignment has a topic that is picked for me or I have to pick it myself I make sure I do my search. When I feel that I have all the information necessary I then start with an outline. When my outline is complete I then start forming my paper by free writing by writing nonstop until I run out of things to write about. I then organize my paper by weaving out the bad writing from the good. I then write my rough draft with the information I have wrote with my free writing. Editing is the next step and my editing skills are not that great so I try to have someone revise my work; four eyes are better than two. Once my mistakes are caught I write my final draft making sure I don’t make any more spelling or grammar errors. Last I turn my assignment in to the proper authority. I don’t believe my writing process differs from the formal writing process. In our text, in my own words, the writing process is prewriting, drafting, editing and publishing. I find that when I do differ from the writing process my paper doesn’t always turn out so good. If I just write a rough draft then edit the paper it seems rushed and I usually receive a rough grade. In conclusion, my approach to writing is simple I stick to the basics by following the writing process.…

Murray, author of Teach Writing as a Process Not a Product, writing is a process of discovery, and it has three necessary steps: prewriting, writing, and rewriting. The most important part of this process, the prewriting, sometimes passes imperceptibly through beginning writers' eyes; at first view, it seems a real waste of time. Although prewriting is hard work and can vary from person to person, it represents the majority of the total work, being an essential part of the writing process. The step of researching the topic and putting ideas on paper, even in a disorganized way,…
