I played baseball throughout high school except for my senior year. The reason was that I was treated unfairly. During my junior year, I was told that I would play varsity and junior varsity. I put up outstanding numbers on junior varsity (batting average over .600, no field errors), but the coach refused to call me up to replace the other struggling player (batting average under .200, multiple errors), saying that it was just a slump and he would pull out of it. I was able to be on varsity for the playoffs, but couldn't take batting practice or field with the team with the coach saying that I wasn't part of the team.
