Will Grayson: Comparison Between John Green And David Levithan
Will Grayson, will grayson is a collaboration book between John Green and David Levithan where two separate stories of two teenage boys named Will Grayson collide. The first Will’s goal is to follow his rules he established for life. 1) Don’t care too much, and 2) Shut up. He spends most of his life following around his friend, Tiny Cooper, and repressing his feelings, as seen here, *excerpt 1*. The other will is a misunderstood, angry, angsty sort of kid. He hides everything he feels. This will has depression, not many friends, and a stressed out mom. He puts her through so much. *excerpt 2* The book may seem like it would be confusing to follow but there is a big difference between the two will graysons. One is Will Grayson with correct capitalization, and the other is will grayson, with no capitalization at all. This way, the reader can distinguish John Green’s and David Levithan’s writing. …show more content…
During this bland period, uppercase Will Grayson’s friends are the dramatic, large, gay Tiny Cooper, and plain Jane. Literally the blandest, most forgettable character in the book, but maybe Tiny just steals her spotlight. Tiny has written a musical about his life and plans to present this musical for the school. Tiny is extremely centered on his own world and is constantly in love with a poor new unsuspecting victim. Jane really likes music and her ex-boyfriend. But that changes a lot when she gets to know uppercase Will Grayson. Lowercase will grayson has one friend named Maura, who secretly is in love with him. Unfortunately enough for Maura, lowercase will grayson is also gay. When the Graysons meet in a store selling certain explicit media, lowercase will is introduced to Tiny. Tiny’s relationships never last, but can this one

In Will Grayson, Will Grayson the boyfriend Will Grayson always seems to question Tiny about how he can love someone like him. He seems to put himself down and try to push Tiny away by offering bad ideas of his life. I do not understand why he would do that if he likes Tiny a lot and wants to date him. A logical answer would have to do something with Will’s depression and mental health. It is clear that he is not emotionally stable about life. Maybe he says those nasty comments about himself to Tiny to see how Tiny reacts. It could be a test to see if Tiny will still like him, even though he has an illness. It could also be to get positive feedback from his boyfriend. Since he does not have high self-esteem, he could be fishing for confidence boosters. All of these help clear up why Will acts the way he…

Sometimes life gets tough and gives us obstacles and challenges just to see how we overcome them. It only takes one mistake for someone’s life to be turned upside down. Watching people go through hardships and life challenges helps us get on the right path and succeed. The book The Other Wes Moore written by Wes Moore himself, is based on real life challenges that two boys ironically with the same name and hometown were faced with and how their decisions on overcoming them lead them to two completely different places. One living free and being able to experience things and the other living unfortunately behind bars. Wes Moore uses the rhetorical appeals ethos, logos, and pathos to engage the readers attention on how two boys with so many similarities can grow up and live two completely opposite lives.…

“The origin of the universe, the Earth and man is a topic that is still debated today, over a hundred years after Darwin published his work, On The Origin of Species, in which he presented his theory of evolution.” (Trudeau, 1). This is seen in many scientific debates that have taken place. One instance where a debate relating to this topic occurred was between Dr. Jay Wile and Dr. Robert Martin. They were on opposing sides; Dr. Wile was the creationist whereas Dr. Martin was the evolutionist. Dr. Jay Wile and Dr. Robert Martin each stated their views boldly and respectfully throughout the debate.…
