Why Is Animal Testing Unnecessary
Animal experimentation: Unnecessary Necessity. It is saddening to think the past half a century’s discoveries are made by torturing and killing innocent animals. According to PETA, each year more than one hundred million faultless animals are being testing on using barbaric methods such as implanting tumors, inhalation of poisonous gases and many more. This just shows how it is important for us as humans being to care about other living things, too. Testing on animals is cruel/unnecessary and should no longer be performed. Animal experimentation is cruel and dangerous. According to Humane Society International, over one hundred million animals like fish, rats, rabbits, guinea pigs, cats, dogs, mini-pigs, and monkeys are tortured by using methods like force feeding, implanting tumors, forced inhalation, food deprivation, and prolonged periods of physical restraint. More importantly over ninety five percent of the animals used are not protected beforehand. This reveals that these animals are vulnerable to mistreatment and abuse without the protection of the American …show more content…
According to Neavs’ biomedical research, “Animals and humans differ considerably with regard to anatomy, physiology and metabolism and it is not possible to predict whether a human will react identically or differently based on the results of experiments conducted on animals”. This shows how even though humans share similar genes with animals, they are not the same. Human are different than animals in many basic ways – We share differences in our environment, the way of living or surviving, and most importantly we share a major difference in our genetics. There have been numerous drugs created and “perfected” by testing on animals but caused severe even lethal effects on humans. This proves that relying on animals for serious disease cures is not an option and is extremely

Animal testing, is also known as animal experiments in the act of using non-human animals in research, to develop projects or scientific experiments. Statistics show that each year, there are millions of animals such as cats, dogs, mice, rats, ferret, hamsters and monkeys that experience mental and physical torture due to scientific research. Although most people agree that animal testing is horrible and cruel, there are few who this is it necessary to find new medicines. During the experiments, the animals are forced to inhale or sallow large amounts of test substances. Which are often found to be poisonous and toxic. The largest concern, is that animals are being used in experiments and not humans. Meaning that the results might or might not be useful for all the humans. Million of animals are suffering from poor conditions of living, and then to…

Animal testing and experimentation in laboratories is always the form of animal cruelty that touches many hearts. This refers to animals being used in scientific experiments, such as medical, pharmaceutical, and commercial testing. These tests can be very dangerous for animals to partake; many animals are tortured and even killed in these procedures. It is estimated that over 70 million animals are tortured and killed in U.S. laboratories annually. This number has decreased over years due to stricter controls, scientific advances, and higher…

When it comes to the topic of animal testing, most of us will readily agree that it is a debatable topic. Where this argument usually ends, however, is on the conversation if animal testing is necessary. Whereas some are convinced that using animals for testing has contributed to many lifesaving cures and treatments, others maintain that these animals are very different from humans and, therefore, make poor test subjects. My own view is these animals have produced many treatments, but not outcomes that are effective enough in the human body, therefore should not be using animals.…

Dogs, cats, monkeys, mice, and other animals are kept in dark rooms in cages while being exposed to various toxic and poisonous substances daily in order to test how the substance may react in humans. These poor creatures suffer from inhuman treatments and are denied any form of happiness, and these experiments should cease to and alternatives should be used instead.…

Animals do not have a say once they are taken away from their current living space, and then killed or have to suffer through what the researchers put them through. These innocents now are being punished, abused, and now have more risks and a shortened life span. Realistically, in my opinion, in order to experiment on animals you really don’t have a heart. People who love animals, could never and would never experiment on them because the things that people do to them we really don’t deserve the satisfaction of animals. “Animals used in experiments are commonly subjected to force feeding, forced inhalation, food and water deprivation, prolonged periods of physical restraint, the infliction of burns and other wounds to study the healing process, the infliction of pain to study its effects and remedies, and "killing by carbon dioxide asphyxiation, neck-breaking, decapitation, or other means." This piece of textual evidence is explaining how animals are not treated properly while being used in experimentation. Animals are forced to do things unwanted to, and also are deprived of certain things. Consider the people who have to do this for a living- they are finding cures for us humans, and also testing products such as cosmetics and shampoos and making sure that we can use them. You may think that animal testing is beneficial, but it's not, it's putting animals life in danger. Rabbits are used to test cosmetics and shampoos, during this process rabbits are powerless and have their eyelids opened by clips this can occur for days. Moving forward, as you can see many animals are harmed during the process and it is very heartbreaking to hear about the many animals that are hurt or killed to find cures for us. If you anyone who loves animals, if animal experimentation is okay, they would say it was abusive, because you taking the life of an innocent animal and putting it in…

There are a lot of bad things that happen in this world and Animal Testing is one of them. Doctors,Scientists and other people test on these animals everyday. In my opinion there should be no animal testing at all. It is cruel. Right now there are millions of animals sitting in cold cages waiting for their next painful procedure. The stress, sterility and boredom causes them to develop neurotic behaviors such as, biting themselves and running around in circles. Most of these animals are killed after the testing because there is no possible way for them to live after this has happened. More than 100 million animals suffer this torture. Exact numbers have not been found, in rats, mice, birds, and cold blooded animals take up about 90 percent.…

According to some national statistics, nearly two-thirds of all animal research has little or nothing to do with curing human diseases or advancing human medicine. Animals testing prolong the suffering of people waiting for effective cures by misleading experimenters in the wrong direction, and wasting resources that could have been spent on more relevant research. Humans and animals may have brains, hearts, lungs, arteries, kidneys, and so on; but animals bodies are made up differently. Dogs for example, they walk on all fours; humans do not use four legs to walk. So to do an experiment that deals with animals legs compared to human leg would be a wasteful matter, dogs legs are formatted different.…
