Why Is Animal Testing Bad
Some may think that animal testing is something that can help with finding cures for bad diseases. But the truth is that animal testing is useless and harmful to animals. It is bad because so many animals get hurt during the process. Also animals get murdered and suffer after the testing even if it works. According to Animal Testing 101 100 million animals die each year from animal testing. Finally the animals never return to their original habitat. These are all reasons on how animal testing is bad and useless.

My first reason is that animals get hurt during the process of the testing. For example Rabbits get pesticides put into their eyes, and cleaners, and other chemicals. After that it is almost certain that the rabbits would go blind.

22 thousand cats are killed during testing and are sold for cruel and crude dissections. According to PETA, at the university of Pennsylvania, beagle puppies were born and at 3 weeks old they had their eyes taken out and were killed to study their eyes. For monkeys, they go absolutely crazy. They start to bit themselves and they start to claw and tear out their own fur to death.

Finally, they never get to return to their natural habitat. 1st, if they are not in their natural habitat they can not reproduce naturally. That means that they are forced to mate and they can not do anything about it. They also do not grow natural instincts because when the animals have babies they are taken after the first day so their parents can not show them anything they would need in the wild. This is important because if they escaped somehow they would need to know how to survive in the wild. PETA

Others might say that animal testing is good because we can find cures for some of the terrible diseases that live here. It is more true that only 2% of the cures actually works. Also, that 2% has a chance to hurt people also. But it is true that some of the cures such as, lung cancer, birth defects, and spinal cord injuries. But if you are going to do animal testing and let it continue you should use more common animals such as rats, mice, and maybe ducks but not monkeys and other more endangered

Animal testing has always been a big issue around the world. Some people think that it is okay for animals to be tested on while others don’t. What even is animal testing? Animal testing is where scientists find new medications and test them on the animals before humans. Why might scientists test them on animals first? So, that if something goes wrong, only the animal would suffer and not a human. I am a critic for animal testing. I believe that animals have a purpose to the world just as much as humans do. Even if people don’t like rodents, that doesn’t mean we need to try and potentially kill them. Animals are very important to this world just like everyone else.…

In animal testing, countless animals are experimented on and then killed after their use is up. Some are injured and will still live the remainder of their life in captivity. The doctors will not do anything to help the animals that are in pain that happen to be the reason because of them. It is the aspect of animals testing that many view as a major negative against the practice, as it seems that the animal died in vain because no direct benefit to humans occurred. Even though animals and humans have many things in common like how we both have the same organ system, there are also many things that are different between animals and humans. Many animals cannot handle or take the same medication as humans, most the surgeries that are operated on animals are just too strong for an animal to take so they end up dying or sick for the rest of their lives.
