Why I Want To Be An Emergency Medical Technician Essay
Emergency Medical technicians (EMT) Emergency Medical technicians, a medically -trained recused professional is, a career I wish to pursue to have the ability to work with police on crime scenes, help injured people and work with hospitals. I have been interested in becoming an EMT for an of couple years now. My interest to become an EMT was caused by a television show called Live PD. If I become an EMT, I wish to further my career by advancing my training and becoming a Paramedic. To become a Paramedic, I first have to become an EMT and complete all the required training and certification.
Emergency medical technicians have many responsibilities. They assist and care for injured people. To begin, emergency medical technicians document and record information. Full-time emergency medical technicians receive medical, dental and retirement plans. They receive sick days and vacation leave. Emergency medical technicians could also receive benefits for their spouse and children (“Wages” 1.) These benefits will really be useful and will help money if something was to happen to me. When it comes to job prospects, emergency medical technicians have a fairly easy time finding a job. Major employers to emergency medical technicians are hospitals. The growth rate for emergency medical technicians is and has been increasing for some time now (“Employment and Outlook” 1). Emergency medical technicians will always be needed and this job is not something that will just disappear. It may be hard finding a job in this career in my hometown but I am willing to move to pursue a job in this
