Why Do Students Get Paid For Hard Work
For specific reasons, I see the need for students to be paid for the hard work they do every day at school. Students will bring home better grades, and this will encourage more students to try harder and do better. Also, students will enjoy doing school work. Primarily, students will come home with better grades. This is because the reward is very tempting. Especially in the younger grades where the students are too young to babysit, so they don’t earn ‘that’ much money. Here is their precious chance to become ‘rich’ with lots of money and prizes. Not only this but, this reward system will succeed in a way that the students will want to learn like water when youre thirsty.when students will realize how tho ‘tops’ are being treated over there,

Authors, Wendy Grolnick and Kathy Seal in their argumentative article, “Pay-to-Learn Schemes Shortchange Kids”, claim that rewards cause students to lose interest in school and their education. They support their claim by first introducing a captivating study performed on preschoolers with magic markers and construction paper, then including an engaging activity that required undergraduates, to solve and complete puzzles, and finally explaining the lengthy experiment tested on sixth grade students that allowed them to graduate at the top of their class. Grolnick’s and Seal’s purpose is to argue in order to persuade school districts to invest in programs that build student’s intrinsic motivation. They establish an argumentative tone for schools so that they begin to take the steps necessary to increase student’s effort in school, without constantly…

It also causes a barrier between the lower level student and their eagerness to learn and put forth maximum effort. It may give them the mentality that if they aren’t going to be recognized and rewarded as students in honors or AP classes, then why…

College players need to get paid for what they do. When college players do not get paid, they do not get paid for the great things that they do on national TV. College players make more money for school playing their sport than people's salaries. Did you know that just if you make it to the NCAA BCS game, you get at least six million dollars. During the peak heat of the summer is when I make most of my money due to my jobs being seasonal and I am able to coast through the winter without working, but that is only because I live cheaply in the winter months. Now that I am spending more I will have to pay more attention to my money and create a budget. It is important to start tracking my money, showing my savings account more attention, packing peanut butter and jelly sandwiches instead of Taco Bell and making friends help with gas.
