Why Do Students Against Cruelty To Animals (SACA)?
Students Against Cruelty to Animals (SACA) is a student-run animal rights organization at the University of Texas at Austin. SACA educates the University community about the environmental impact of using animals for food, clothing, entertainment, and experimentation. SACS works through public education, research, special events, direct action, and grassroots organizing.

On April 4th, 2016, SACA will be giving a presentation to the Longhorn Environmental Outreach (LEO) organization, which is an environmental group that focuses on promoting environmental awareness to the Austin community. Through this, SACA is hoping to inform fellow Longhorns on how to help our

    Why Donate to the ASPCA?

    According to dosomething.org “Each year, thousands of young and healthy Greyhounds are killed because they lack racing potential or have been injured while racing and are no longer competitive” (11 facts about animal cruelty). Sounds terrible, right? Well, there is an organization called the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, or ASPCA for short, that helps fight against that type of animal cruelty. The ASPCA was founded by Henry Bergh in 1866 (About the). Also, the ASPCA was also the first humane society to be established in North America and is also one of the largest humane societies. The ASPCA has authority to investigate and make arrests for animal cruelty. This organization would be a perfect place for someone to donate money to if they are looking to help out a charity. I believe that this is the perfect organization to donate to because they are always fighting against animal cruelty, such as violence, they help to stop puppy mills and they also fight to make animal testing illegal. This organization needs donations in order to stay up and going and to continue to rescue animals and keep them alive.…

    The Anti-Cruelty Group is split up into different divisions to break down the range of complications in the world of animal abuse. The seven areas of the group are Field Investigators and Response, Humane Law Enforcement, Forensic Sciences and Anti-Cruelty Projects, ASPCA Behavioral Rehabilitation Center, Anti-Cruelty Behavior Team, Government Relations, Legal Advocacy, and Strategy and Campaigns. A specific crew known as Field Investigators keep in contact with businesses, organizations, and law enforcement in order to acquire a net of safety to provide the needs of a situation. They also handle confirmation from crimes as well as the people involved. The Forensic Science and Anti-Cruelty Projects Group accords tutelage to inform the citizenry of animal rights. The ASPCA Rehabilitation Center focuses on animals that need help becoming gregarious. These are pets and animals that may have come from harsh situations or environments.
