Why Did You Lose The Revolutionary War
Did you know that the Revolutionary War is like a parent and child fighting? The Americans (the child) are fighting the British(the parent) and the British keep giving them punishments like more tax. By December, 1777 over 1800 soldiers had died and by March, over 900 more soldiers had died. That means a total of over 2700 soldiers died in all, that is quite a bit of soldiers dying! The colonists did not even have good clothes or shoes and became very sick. I have decided not to reenlist for many reasons, but the main ones are bad conditions, death and illness, and the terrible way the huts are made. In 1776 the Boston Tea Party took place. This little rebellion started the war and made the British angry, if we keep fighting it will just make them more angry at us. In 1776 the Declaration of Independence was written. During the War George Washington and his men made a grand retreat. A retreat means we are probably losing the war, so if we are going to lose, we might as well stop so soldiers do not keep dying. Valley Forge is a village in the mountains in Philadelphia, where George Washington and his army had set up winter camp. The first reason I will not reenlist is because of the conditions. There are so many people dying, I don't want to be one of them. This reason is making me not reenlist because I do not want to die before I see my family.
