He fights the humans in battle against the humans and commands them successfully. This quality makes him most suitable because he is fighting for the animals to overpower the humans. His inventiveness allows for the society of animals to prosper over the humans; the inventions allow them to build their society up. He reads and learns to make Animal Farm better, while trying to educate the other animals too. Overall, Snowball is more involved with the animals and doesn’t want to have more power than them. Napoleon on the other hand, is more of a dictator and is more concerned for himself. For example, when he overlooks the commandments for himself. He takes Snowball’s ideas and claims they are his. Also, Napoleon acts much more immature than Snowball. For instance, “then suddenly he lifted his leg, urinated over the plans, and walked out without uttering a word.” He doesn’t handle disputes maturely and his actions show this. Also, he blames Snowball for the destruction of the windmill, even though it was the storm. Snowball is the obvious candidate to govern Animal Farm and is best for protecting all the animals that reside there. Napoleon seems to be covering the farm from animalism to communism. All of the animals of Animal Farm should rally together and say, “Snowball for everyone, Napoleon for…

The animals have heard so much about Snowball, they started making things up to be on Napoleon’s side. Things get worse when Snowball was accused of being a secret agent, “Snowball was in league with Jones from the very start! He was Jones’ secret agent, all the time” (57). Just when you think Snowball couldn’t get blamed for anything else he gets accused of being a traitor. Everyone in the farm hates him, but as soon as Squealer explains that accusations they all go insane wanting Snowball’s death. Napoleon got what he wanted all along, Snowball was one of the most hated animals, while he is being praised as the magnificent leader. After the day Snowball ran away everything changed, and could never go back to the way it was. Napoleon was in everyone’s mind, he could say anything and they will believe him that’s the reason they all detested Snowball so much. Snowball doesn’t mind any of it, at the end of the day he keeps returning to the farm to explore. Snowball is admirable because no matter how much hate he receives he keeps coming back. This reason clarifies why Snowball is my favorite character, he will never care about…

Snowball believes in the happiness of his citizens. He would always put the farm first and try to achieve everyone's needs, this is seen when he devised a plan for a windmill tower that would produce electricity and benefit everyone on the farm. Napoleon, however, is more of a demanding, overpowering pig who always gets what he wants. He gets influenced easily and always puts himself first. He believes that he is Animal Farm's destined leader and praises himself for all the things that he has done for the animals this is seen when Napoleon spreads lies and rumours, making Snowball into a symbol of the enemy within and steals snowballs idea of the windmill.…

For one, Napoleon was extremely egotistical. He only cared for himself and was only concerned with how things affected him. The good of everyone else was secondary. Count Mole, who was a Councilor of State, Minister, and peer of France said of Napoleon, “he thought of nothing but his own gratification, of magnifying himself and his power without limit and without rest.” When Napoleon proclaimed to his troops on the Commencement of the war and third Coalition, he stated, “Soldiers, your Emperor is among you!” As you can see from the quotes, Napoleon thought of himself as a Godly being who was better than everyone else and looked down on others. This is one of the reasons I think he is more of a tyrant than a hero.…

In the satiric novel entitled Animal Farm by George Orwell, the character Snowball exemplifies Leon Trotsky, and leads the animals to rebel against Farmer Jones in order to attain freedom. However, the utopia that they willingly fought for was short lived and they are deceived by the pigs, in turn, they find themselves no better off than they started. The character Snowball is portrayed as ambitious, brilliant, and eloquent and he made sure that Animal farm was self sufficient. Without Snowball, Animal Farm would have not been able to prosper, after the expulsion of Farmer Jones.…

The allegory is shown through many of the animals relating to historic characters and what they do in the story. For example, Mr. Jones represents Tsar Nicholas II. These characters in Animal Farm represent the mentioned characters because their actions are very similar to that of the historical characters that they represent. Snowball leads the revolution against the human oppressor and the animals start to follow him. At that point, Napoleon, expels Snowball and takes charge. After that, his animalism society slowly crumbles and he as well as his fellow pigs or practices similar to the humans; it is very ironic because the objective of animalism is to ban humans from Animal…

In the novella Animal Farm written by George Orwell, Snowball appears to be the more ethical leader in comparison to the corrupt Napoleon, however there is uncertainty about Snowball’s character. In the short time that Snowball had authority over Animal Farm, he seemed to be a righteous head of power. On closer inspection though, it is revealed Snowball is not completely honourable. Ultimately, it is hard to know whether Snowball would have carried on his moral leadership, due to his brief time in power. Snowball, in contrast to Napoleon, is conveyed as having more integrity.…
