Who Is The Helena In A Midsummer Night's Dream

There are many key characters in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, but very important one is Helena. Helena is a very self conscious character that is always putting herself down and worried about what others think of her. She is very insecure and lets that influence and get the best of her throughout the play. In the beginning of the play Helena is left out if the “love triangle” of Hermia, Lysander, and Demetrius. She is deeply in love with Demetrius and is willing to do most anything for his attention, she even offers to be his dog. Throughout the story Helena really struggles with love and ends up even more confused in the end. Throughout Helena’s love for Demetrius, she has a constant feeling of mockery
