What Is The Relationship Between Romeo And Juliet In Act 2
In act two Romeo goes back to the Capulets to talk to Juliet. Romeo and Juliet talk about love and Romeo wants to get married to Juliet the next day. Juliet is sceptical if Romeo loves her of if lover her for her looks. Juliet then tells Romeo that she will send someone to ask him he still loves her, if he does then they will get married. Romeo then leaves and and the next day he asks the rerend at the church if he will let him and Romeo get married. Romeo tells him that he met Juliet yesterday and he is par of her Ramily's rivals so it will have to be a secertly. The reverend tells Romeo if he really Loves Juliet because he only met her yesterday but get married would stop the two familys from hating each other. Juliet's nurse went to Romeo

    Juliet's conceding to a forbidden relationship with Romeo was the starting point in which the tragedy would start to unfold. At the ball, Juliet falls in love with a masked Romeo and later Romeo and Juliet both confess their love for each other, both of them now knowing that they are enemies from both sides the family feud. At this point, Juliet had a choice of whether or not to pursue this new relationship. In the end, in the heat of things, she decides to give in to Romeo, even though she had doubts about this relationship just moments before. "Thy purpose marriage, send me word tomorrow, / By one that I'll procure to come to thee, / Where and what time thou wilt perform the rite, / And all my fortunes at thy foot I'll lay, / And follow thee my lord throughout the world" (Act2 Scene2 Lines144-148). This quote by Friar Lawrence in William Shakespeare’s play, Romeo and Juliet, perfectly sums up two different types of relationships. One of which is represented by Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet, who run fast into their love even though their families have a seemingly unending feud. They attempt to keep their relationship secret, which causes complications and ultimately ends in their death that barriers their families feud. A similar, but slower, relationship, which is the second type, is formed as a friendship between Lennie and George, in Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, who are ranch hands that end up working on a farm in the Salinas Valley. They spend the majority of their lives together, George, small and smart, and Lennie, bigger but less intelligent, until trouble with a man on the ranch named Curley and his wife leads to George killing Lennie. When the two texts are compared, George and Lennie have a stronger relationship, because they always care for each other, they have trust, and their relationship is based off of friendship, while on the other hand Romeo and Juliet’s relationship is developed off of regretted actions, infatuation, and empty words.…
