What is important in setting up a business?
Setting up a business is the thing that anyone could do, but it doesn’t mean that anyone should do it. Even if you have an idea and needed resources, you should remember that the key of success isn’t always can be read in books or heard at lectures. You should be or clever enough, or lucky enough, to reach the highest hills.
After watching the movie “The Pirates of Silicon Valley” I was a little bit disappointed of developing events from the moral side of the story. I’ve started to wondering if it’s possible to achieve a great success without stealing other people’s ideas or becoming an insensitive monster. After careful consideration I came up with other thought – we can divide people into humans and leaders. “Success is a state of mind.” that’s what Bill’s character said and I want to expand this brilliant theory. It is scientifically proven that organizations which have higher goals achieve more than the others, with more realistic (or even pessimistic) view on their possibilities. You need to know what people want and give them it or better - tell them that they want You, your product and nothing else.
Bill knew that but apparently he didn’t look like “you need me” kind of guy. Unlike Bill, Steve’s character had the charisma and he was really good at talking with people. You need to have the appearance which tell people that you reliable and confident. Otherworld’s you need to create a shell around yourself, a shell with new ideas of which people never heard before but when they do – they can do anything to get that.
Some people are only good at research and invitations. They need someone who know how to use their product with profit. That’s what important in setting up a business – idea, attention and self-confidence.
