What Is Elon Reeve Musk?
Elon Reeve Musk is a South African-born tech-entrepreneur, capitalist, engineer, inventor, and philanthropist. He is the founder, CEO, and CTO of Space X, co-founder, CEO and product architect of Tesla Inc., co-founder and chairman of Solar City, co-chairman of Open AI, co-founder of Zip2, and founder of X.com which merged with PayPal of Confinity. He was born in 1971, in Pretoria, South Africa. His mother was nutritionist from Canada and his father an engineer. Musk’s interest in computers led to write the code for his own video game called Blastar, at the age of 12. This game was the first product he ever sold. Today, most of the people believe Tesla was created by its charismatic CEO, Elon Musk, a PayPal, SpaceX cofounder who is the face of the both companies. But Tesla motors was a brainchild of a group of obsessive and inventive engineers of Silicon Valley with an aim to prove that electric vehicles could be a great replacement of the internal combustion engines. Tesla Roadster was the first car released by Tesla back in 2008. Car and Driver said, "It is not just a car, but one of the strongest automotive statements on the road." Then the sports sedan Model-S was released in 2013, and soon became the most loved car in US (according to Forbes, 2004). In 2007, when Tesla nearly went bankrupt Martin Eberhard (one of the founding member) resigned from the CEO position and took on a new title, President of Technology. Then, Musk took over the role of CEO himself and risked his own fortune, pouring around $75 million into the company.
