Has it happened to you that sometimes you go out, but forgot your cell phone at home, and you don’t feel complete? There’s a feeling somewhere inside that you’re missing something, a sense of insecurity prevails… welcome to the world of cell phone addiction! Cell phones are having a great influence in our lives, and are very convenient to keep with us. Cell phones are a faster and more effective way to transfer information. Indeed, it is a resource that gives its user’s great advantages.

Dr. Martin Cooper, a former general manager for the system division at Motorola, considered the inventor of the first modern portable headset. Cooper made the first call on a portable cell phone in April 1973. Called cellular because the system uses many base stations to divide a service area into multiple “cells”.
The cost of landline generally are less expensive. Landlines phone service providers provide free local calls, and usually doesn’t require a contract, but landline phones are hard wired so you can’t “take it with you”. Cell service costs are typically higher because of setup costs, hardware costs, and calling cost are generally higher. Most Cell phone providers do require a contract.
People are able to carry their cell phone with them so they don’t miss out on important calls. They are able because of their smaller size to be completely portable. Cell phones were not available. As I have seen the technology grow, I feel the cell phone is the best form of communication. The ease and accessibility as well as the reliability far exceed the landline functions. I believe there is still a place for landline phones, for certain purposes. For the general population, the cell phone technology has surpassed the landline functionally. We need to stay current in the new technology.
