Imagine you are managing a design project that will create an interface for automobile mechanics. The interface would be used by the mechanics to look up various fixes and parts for any number of makes or models of automobiles that may come through their garage. Decide what usability measures would be most motivating when designing this interface and describe the unique challenges you would have to plan for when designing an interface for an automotive repair shop. Use supporting evidence to support your response.
First step for any design project would be to gather the requirements. As developer and project managers would not know what the end user needs and what their technical skills are, it would be essential to collect information on what the client needs. I would think that the interface has to be as simple as possible. So that the end user would have no problems searching through the interface for different parts and makes of cars. I can imagine a mechanic just looking at the screen trying to figure out where is he at or what is he looking at. So the title of the search performed and the result should be bold and large font on top to ensure they know what the information is. Also to simplify the problem of how to fix a certain problem or a part in an automobile, the interface can be linked to Auto Repair Reference Centre. The new Auto Repair Reference Center interface provides for an increased amount of content with access to repair information for more than 37,000 vehicles. In-depth repair coverage—representing the most comprehensive collection of automobile repair reference information in the market—is provided for each vehicle. In addition to repair manual information, library patrons will find technical service bulletins, recall information, electrical wiring diagrams, maintenance intervals, specifications and labor times. Advanced do-it-yourselfers can take advantage of the diagnostics information collection, which provides the ability to troubleshoot

#1(A). I would advise Mr. Young to organize his new venture as a LLC. In organizing his venture as a LLC, Mr. Young would be able to gain financing through venture investors or by equity offerings. This would reduce his personal costs and allow for greater allocation of resources. An LLC would also limit his personal liability compared to a sole proprietorship as only his personal investments into the organization would be liable/exposed and not any personal assets. One of the most important positives with a LLC is no double taxation as is the case with the corporation organization. Similar to the sole proprietorship, the taxes would be at the personal rate.…

The Flexner Report is the most important event in the history of American and Canadian medical education. It was a commentary on the condition of medical education in the early 1900s and gave rise to modern medical education. The Flexner Report triggered much-needed reforms in the standards, organization, and curriculum of North American medical schools. At the time of the Report, many medical schools were proprietary schools operated more for profit than for education. Flexner criticized these schools as a loose and lax apprenticeship system that lacked defined standards or goals beyond the generation of financial gain. In their stead Flexner proposed medical schools in the German tradition of strong biomedical sciences together with hands-on clinical training. The Flexner Report caused many medical schools to close down and most of the remaining schools were reformed to conform to the Flexnerian mode.…

A biased essay can diminish the writer's reliability in the reader's eye. Reliability is what makes a writer’s word reliable. If a writer fails to address the other side of an argument or concern, which they feel strongly, by paying no attention to it or by dismissing it, it is less likely that a reader will give their essay any credibility. “Acknowledging points of view different from your own also has the effect of fostering more credibility between you and the audience.” (McLean, S., 2011, p. 311). Furthermore, presenting a biased view in an essay can make the essay vulnerable to question on whether its views are effective or not. The idea is that if the writer's view is biased, the rest of the essay may also have issues. A way we can prevent bias is to use multiple sources of information and compare them with each other. In addition, we must be unbiased and not noticeably favor one specific point of view.…
