Wake Forest Research Paper
Everyone is aware of the name Wake Forest University carries. Obviously, I too want to be part of the Demon Decan Community. Wake Forest embodies the community spirit that encourages intellectualism and promotes civic engagement. The biggest reason for transferring to Wake Forest University is the philosophy of educating the whole person. As an Aga Khan Foundation Youth Ambassador, I was heavily involved with sustainable projects that had a purpose of solving challenges the ambassadors identified in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex. Neither of our projects were one day projects, or charitable in any sense. With Wake Forest’s resources, I can envision myself becoming an entrepreneur who shocks the market with a company that promotes social change and generates profit. College should provide a safety net for students who have big ambitions. Wake Forest can provide me with the safety net and assure that no matter how outrageously crazy my ventures and ideas can be, I won’t fail because Wake Forest will help me get back up and encourage me to keep failing until I succeed. Anyone can say that he or she wants to attend Wake Forest for its name, ranking, and academic rigor, but not many know early on how he or she can bring value to the Winston Salem, and global community. Working with bright students and faculty members will help me in creating a difference that I’ve dreamt of since my freshman year in high school. Being a Demon Decan wouldn’t be a three year commitment, rather it would be a lifelong commitment and the way I live as a Demon Decan would become a lifestyle throughout my
