About Maple Ridge
Maple Ridge is a thriving and quickly expanding city located in the northeast sector of the Metro Vancouver Area. Maple Ridge is nicely situated between the Fraser River and Golden Ears Provincial Park. It is a welcoming city with a great community feel; Maple Ridge offers many different lifestyle choices and is a great place to call home for a multitude of reasons. Here is a brief description of the city, its geography and some of the highlights that the city offers.
Geography and Climate
The topography of Maple Ridge is hilly and has similar flora and fauna to that of most other parts of the Lower Mainland. Maple Ridge’s surrounding area is a great mix of forests as well as rich fertile fields that supply the city …show more content…
Maple Ridge borders Golden Ears Provincial Park. The accessibility to the park and all that is has to offer is part of what makes the city such a unique and wonderful place to live. Another great attraction in Maple Ridge is the Fraser River Heritage Walk. This is only one of the many great walks and trails that make Maple Ridge a special place to call home. The Fraser River Heritage Walk links many of the key heritage sites in Port Haney and showcases some of Maple Ridge’s rich history. The walk takes you along the scenic Fraser River and past the historic Haney House. The walk is open year round and is a popular destination for residents and tourists alike.
