The EO&D monitor and evaluate representation of underrepresented groups at all levels of the institution and prepare an affirmative action plan to presents a graphical summary of workforce trends. The leadership of UMass has recognized that the people of color and women are underrepresented in many offices and departments; therefore, the university has increased efforts to support the retention of faculty and staff of color and women in sciences. The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Campus Life offers a range of support, educational/sensitization programs, and recreational facilities for students. Recently, the university has launched “U Matter at UMass” campaign and website that educate and motivate the campus community
