Types of Friendship
Different Types of Friendship (4)

Friends are a part of my extended family. They are important to me, and have made the independent man I am today. Friendship to me is like a flower that constantly needs watering for it to continue to stay healthy and have a good life. Just like the kind of relationship you would have with your significant other like spouse, or your best friend. As the years have gone by the more selective I’ve become of my friendships, and realize whom my true friends are. I have different types of friends all very different from each other. These are my best friends, hanging out friends, and clubbing friends. I can be very spontaneous at times and like to try different things. I’m a random person. It’s the best way I can describe myself, but I do surround myself with all kinds of people and will try anything once if it catches my attention. A friend is a friend, helps in good stuff and bad stuff, there is no way to describe the perfect friend. There are many reasons why people become friends, stuff in common , etc. Right now at this point of my life i have and consider one of my best friend J.A. here in NYC, because we have so many stuff in common and also understand each other’s in every single way and that person is loyal to me. I have more friends but not like this one, they are different because they all have a purpose. My different types of friends are : My best friends, hanging out friends, clubbing friends, Internet friends, family friends and friends with benefits. My best friends are people that I have complete confidence, I have four people and between those 2 people there are 2 that I can tell everything without borders and they are always around you, and will accept and respect the way you are no matter what. Hanging out friends are the people that i like to walk with and chill, examples: go to the movies, walk around the city, go to restaurants, ice skating, stuff like that and they not always with you. Who is your best friend? My opinion, the answer is: a person that reflects yourself while looking in the mirror. Having a best friend is the best feeling in the world, it's like they are a part of you in a way that's truly hard to explain until you find it. A best friend is someone you spend the majority of your time with because they have the most common with you. They will attend all the activities you both share the love for. Your dog won't be able to compete with that the majority of the time, but when you get home they will be waiting for you with the tail wagging acting like he or she hasn't seen you in years.…

The first category, the occasional friends, encompasses three friend types. The first one is the grenade. This type of friend is usually annoying and tough to be around but they serve a critical purpose. They make you look better by comparison. Slightly better than the grenade, is the jerk with the heart of gold. Like the grenade they are generally annoying but unlike the grenade they are genuinely good people, willing to apologies and make amends for being so annoying. The final occasional friend is the school or work friend. They are the people who help you get through the school or work day that you never really see anywhere else. As the name suggests, occasional friends are not the type of people one would hang out with every day.…

For most people, it is really hard to find someone who is completely honest, loyal, and a positive influence on your life, but there’s always a best friend for someone. Almost everyone has one and almost everyone is one. For me, I personally do not have a best friend. I stay to myself a lot and I’m not open about everything, it’s also hard to gain a new best friend if all of your old friends went off to college. A best friend is someone who is very generous, they’re there to lend you money when you run out, be your shoulder to cry on, and go out of their way if they really care about you. A best friend can be someone whom you’ve known since childhood but can also be someone that you’ve just met, and you both just click.…
