Three Types of Friends Have you ever thought about the many types of friends people have? Rather given it much thought or not there are all types of people in this world, which determine what type of friend you are. Friend types can be divided into three different groups: best friends, school friends, and acquaintances. For most people, it is really hard to find someone who is completely honest, loyal, and a positive influence on your life, but there’s always a best friend for someone. Almost everyone has one and almost everyone is one. For me, I personally do not have a best friend. I stay to myself a lot and I’m not open about everything, it’s also hard to gain a new best friend if all of your old friends went off to college. A best friend is someone who is very generous, they’re there to lend you money when you run out, be your shoulder to cry on, and go out of their way if they really care about you. A best friend can be someone whom you’ve known since childhood but can also be someone that you’ve just met, and you both just click. On the first day of school there’s always that one person you tend to spot in class that makes you think “I need to sit by them,” that is your ultimate school friend. A school friend is the friend that you only talk to at school; you guys never hang out outside of school but are extremely close. Similar to a best friend, except, you don’t get to see them outside of school for whatever the circumstances may be. I have plenty of school friends, such as my classmates, the person who get lost on the first day and asks me for help, and the ones who accidentally bump into me and start a conversation. I’ve had countless amount of school friends, I’m sure everyone has, and usually they end up become your best friend. There are people you pass by every day, the ones you only speak to while awkwardly walking by yourself in the hallway or on a bus; those are called acquaintances.
