Triple Alliance And The Triple Entente
World War I is one of the most memorable war of all time. According to pbs.org at least 8,528,831 soilders had died in the war and 21,189,154 people were severely wounded. This war was between two armies, the Triple Alliance and the Triple Entente. The Triple Alliance was the alliance between Germany, Austria-Hungary and Italy while the Triple Entente was between Great Britain, France and Russia. This war began on July 28th, 1914. This war all started with the assassination of Mr. Franz Ferdinand. Mr. Franz Ferdinand was the heir throne to Austria-Hungary. According to History.com on June 28th, 1914 Franz Ferdinand was in the city of Sarajevo inspecting the imperial arms of Bosnia. During his tour of the city a conspiracy group called “Black

In result from receiving these letters Kaiser Wilhelm then offers Austria-Hungary a “Blank Check”. This blank check was a promise from Kaiser himself full support of the German army. Austria-Hungary was pleased to hear the good news from the German emperor so then they give the Serbian government a final offer. This offer consisted taking down all propogandas toward the Hungarians, help destroy terrorist groups, allow Hungarians officials in Serbia to watch over political actions, and etc. The Serbian government took note of these request but could not accept the rules of this offer. Then on July 28th 1914 exactly one month after the murder of Franz Ferdinand the Austrian empire declares war upon the Serbian Army. As the Austrian empire declared war upon the Serbians, Russia then joins the battle. The Russians had made a deal with Serbia that if Germany attacks Serbia that the Russians will provide support in promise that Serbia will annex Bosnia. Four days later on August 1st Germany declares war against the Russian army. At first Germany warns Russia to not interfere with the war as they mobilize a few troops but Russia being allies with Serbia cannot stand and watch.
