Environments should be attractive and make children feel safe and secure and happy to be there and they should also be places where children can confidently play and learn.…

We also have a craft station where there are scissors, glue, colouring pencils, Sellotape and craft boxes so they can make projects on their own or with their peers. We always consider the impact of a colour that then reflects on a child’s emotions, research has shown that the colour yellow is recognised faster than any other colour, this colour also evokes spontaneity, and is joyful, optimistic, warm and signifies communication as well as being bright and happy. We need to make sure the room has a variety of different and stimulating toys, and that there is enough space for all the children to move around comfortably and have access around the room/rooms indoors and outdoors in the play area. Like a previous article referenced, a study in New Zealand uncovered that over three thousand lives have been saved since 1990, due to changing an infant’s sleeping position from prone to supine. It is estimated in this same study that over 40,000 lives have been saved in the United States. However, there are many more preventative measures a nurse can teach parents of infants in order to save more lives. This article, “SIDS prevention: 3000 lives saved but we can do better,” suggests the following areas to educate parents on: keep the environment smoke free, do not co-sleep with the infant, do not place stuffed animals in the crib, do not cover the infant’s head with blankets, use a firm mattress in good condition, and immunize your children.…

The first and foremost important thing to us was the comfort of our babies. In this regard the Graco RoomFor2 Stand and Ride Classic Connect Stroller, Metropolis version does a very good job. The stroller is packed with features that come in handy now and then. Though it missed some basic and obvious features like a back tray for the walker but that was fixed after we purchased a separate attachable accessory. This is a good stroller and is well built. The plastic and metal make of this stroller really shows and not only makes this sturdy but also is able to give a smooth ride on most bad surfaces that are found in the area. As we were recommended this reliable stroller, and after using it we are pleased by it so we can also recommend it but would advise to search and research all options before making the…
