Addition and Subtraction up to 100
Addition and subtraction are arguably the most important math topics for every first grade mathematics student.
The memorization of number bonds and the ‘ feeling’ with numbers come with the ability to add and subtract numbers without to much thinking.
Math topics in future school years all elaborate on these important skills. It might be true that endless pages of number crunching materials seem to have no meaning to students, but these skills are so important that we advice every teacher, parent or student to print this booklet and do all pages! The result will be ta lot of confidence in math!
This booklet comes with answers and is made for students from all levels. For the weaker and the stronger! It’s just like a video game; the more you practice, the better you get!
This booklet is part of our Math in English Skills Series which is based on core math topics underlying the application of math!
These workbooks, including answers, are free and downloadable from our website.

Mansa Musa was one of the wealthiest person in human history; famous for his pilgrimage from Niani (the capital city of Mali) to Mecca. Several historians have called into question whether Mansa Musa’s pilgrimage was for religious reasons or not over the years, so was he a Devout Muslim, Or a Opportunist that used his own religion for personal gain? Mansa Musa was a preposterous sultan who used two of the Pillars of Islam as an excuse to make a journey to Mecca to increase his own personal glory in order to insult his enemies by awwing their people with vast quantities of gold and refusing to visit their leaders as he supposedly had to lead one of the largest and most wasteful caravans in human history that held no other purpose than to demonstrate the wealth, splendor, unity, and determination of the mostly non-Muslim people of Mali, in order for Mansa Musa to engrave a fake legacy throughout Northern Africa.…

My name is Christopher Aziz and on October 29, 2009 I was arrested by the San Diego Sheriffs Department. It all started at school when a group of friends decided to get high after school and asked me to go along. I have never smoked weed before, but I guess I thought to myself, "I'll do it once, then no more". School ended at 12:03 pm and around 12:45 pm I was put under arrest for possession of marijuana. In the last month and a half three teenagers have lost their lives due to drug usage in San Diego alone. Also, four Navy S.E.A.L’s on S.E.A.L Team 1 were brutally attacked in Afghanistan and safely returned home. If any of the soldiers that rescued them were on any…

The Safavids were an extraordinary empire because of their beautiful tile work. The Safavid Empire lasted from the early 1500’s to 1722 and took up most of present day Iran and Iraq. They went through years of fighting to gain and lose territory against the Ottomans and Moguls. Under their ruler Shah Abbas, they reached their glory. They regained lost territory, strengthened their army using the latest weapons, and trained administrators to run the kingdom. Intellectual freedom marked the height of the empire, but pressures to conform to traditional religious beliefs called religious orthodoxy increased. With too much land to control, they went back to Azerbaijan as their capital. Some of the most…

Nai’m Akbar, previously known as Luther benjamin Weems Jr, was born on April 26, 1944 in Tallahasee, Florida. Like most of the southern United States at the time, Akbar's community was extremely segregated, and open, systematic, racism was still the cultural norm. His childhood was so segregated, that he never had any direct personal interaction with white people until he started college. Naim grew up in a very unique environment. Schools were still segregated, African Americans were still not treated as equals by the education system or American society in general, and especially in the American south racism was still rampant. However, Naim’s parents both had college degrees, and between…

    Amir's Quest to Redeem

    • 792 Words
    • 4 Pages

Amir’s quest to redeem himself makes up the heart of the novel. Early on, Amir strives to redeem himself in Baba’s eyes, primarily because his mother died giving birth to him, and he feels responsible. To redeem himself to Baba, Amir thinks he must win the kite-tournament and bring Baba the losing kite, both of which are inciting incidents that set the rest of the novel in motion. The more substantial part of Amir’s search for redemption, however, stems from his guilt regarding Hassan. That guilt drives the climactic events of the story, including Amir’s journey to Kabul to find Sohrab and his confrontation with Assef. The moral standard Amir must meet to earn his redemption is set early in the book, when Baba says that a boy who doesn’t stand up for himself becomes a man who can’t stand up to anything. As a boy, Amir fails to stand up for himself. As an adult, he can only redeem himself by proving he has the courage to stand up for what is right.…

Chavarius Curry-Felix 5/29/13 English 101-swa 1 T.Roper Unit One Short Writing Assignments The thing that is most significant about this title was that you have to realize the true essence of judging a person for being regular instead of judging someone by their handicap. The title’s significance seems to be a certain way of getting to know what the article may be about. The title itself gives off a sense of mystery being that the title is drawing the reader into actually finding out what this article is going to be about. It is like the author had wanted to make the title pop out to you and draw you in making you want to read about the article. Kind of like a cliffhanger in stories that draws the reader to want to read more about it. The author’s purpose of this article is to try to inform readers about his/her personal idea and opinion. The author may be trying to inform readers about what has gone in a certain situation and what has also been done about the current situation. The author is informing readers about a certain technique that the British police have used to interrogate people. Mainly trying to determine whether people are actually lying in these interrogations. The author says that the United States will be the next to learn the techniques. My own personal experience would be how I try to determine whether someone is…
