The Tropics In New York Poem Analysis
Dixie: My favorite poem is The Tropics In New York. It is about fruit and fight for a high prize. The fruit sets in the window to bring back memories. It was an emotional poem for me. I feel this poem showed sadness. Also in a way it makes you wonder under until the end. Like to talks about fruit and makes you wonder how the end is going to turn out. At the end of the poem it evokes sadness when he turned aside and bowed my head and wept. Sitting in the window, bringing memories makes me wonder. So I feel this would make me wonder what the memories that he was thinking. My eyes grew dim, and I no more gaze; This makes me think again that he is sad. If he were happy, the line would be different. And, hungry for the old, familiar ways. Again
