THE ROLE OF TOP MANAGEMENT IN SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS PERFORMANCE

It was no mere chance for me to choose this theme of my essay. It is generally agreed today that role of top management in the company of a large. What is more, we have not development of any company without the top manager today. It is clear that top manager plays an important part in business performance. It is undeniable that without senior management commitment up to the CEO of the organization the vision needed for the success of business cannot emerge.
I’d like to start by saying with facts. Firstly, we most become accustomed to the terminology.
A number of key issues arise from the statement. For instance, an organization, because a manager work in an organization. It is important to clarify the term organization. Robbins S.P. (1991) defines an organization as: “a systematic arrangement of people to accomplish some specific purpose”. We can divide organizational members into two categories: operatives or managers. Managers differ from operatives by the fact that they direct the activities of others.
Doubtless, I want to say about a definition of manager.
The job of a manager is extremely difficult to describe. Job descriptions exist, and all will be different. Planning can be difficult with so many interruptions. On top of that, if the manager is “fighting fires” and dealing with crises and unforeseen events, then getting tasks done becomes even more of a problem.
The job description for a manager also changes depending on what industry they are in, what type of “organizational culture” they are part of and whether they are junior or senior in the organization. It
