The Role Of Emily Grierson In William Faulkner's A Rose For Emily
The story “A Rose for Emily” by William Faulkner has potential to be written in many different genres. Story has many characters with interesting and unique qualities which gives a person who wants to rewrite the story options to make up new scenarios and conflicts between characters.
If I were to rewrite the story I would have written it as a mystery or a detective story. I believe that the death of Miss Emily Grierson was not completely understood during the story, so it would be easy for a person to change what actually caused Miss Emily Grierson’s demise. I would change the death of Emily Grierson into a murder and leave it up to the readers to solve who killed her.
I could have changed the story so that the servant or her gardener/cook
