The Pros And Cons Of Transgender Individuals
Transgender has been in the spotlight a lot of late with Caitlyn Jenner getting a ton of press. They desperately need a spokesperson or more support. Transgender individuals are unprotected by law in over half of the states in the United States. This means that they can be fired or discriminated against with no consequences from the law. There are a lot of misconceptions about transgender which can lead to misinformation and hate. Many things like cross-dressing and sexual orientation have nothing to do with transgender. Transgender individuals can receive discrimination at work, school, and marriage. This can lead to very serious issues all the way up to violence and murder from hate crimes.
