The Outsiders Narrative
Johnny
It was a big lid. All those years I believed he was gone forever. All those months I spent crying alone in my room, reading about his adventures he wrote down for me. Only to find out that he was still there. Anywhere. But there.
Johnny, that’s what I decided to call my new furry friend, barked in his sleep. It seemed like he was dreaming. I did not want to wake him up.
I leaned back in my chair and took a deep breath. Down here in my hideout, the air was a lot cooler than outside. I spent a lot of time down here, trying to make contact with other survivors through this radio station. But I did not expect to find him. I heard his voice again.
“My name is Leonardo Smith. Are there any survivors?“ I did not manage to respond. This could

The big thing. I’m not trying to overdramatise something, I swear. It was a big thing. I’m not talking about the spring break, my first kiss, meeting my celebrity crush, or anything else a normal teenage girl would refer to as a big thing. It was the apocalypse. The literal apocalypse.
I ran out of the house when thousands of meteors fell from the sky. I can’t remember what happened after that.
When I woke up, I found myself in the middle of a lonely desert. There were no buildings, people or plants. My throat burned because I was so thirsty. After finding a broken satellite dish, I figured out that the houses had to be somewhere under the sand. I dogged down beside it and it wasn’t too long until I found the top of the roof. I managed to break one of the windows and climb down into the house. Luckily, I found a lot of water bottles and some food that still looked kind of edible.
It was the same house, where I found Johnny. His leg was trapped under a closet and the poor dog whimpered the whole time. I searched for a first aid kit after I had freed him and tried to make a bandage around his leg, to avoid more loss of

“You seem to have missed a lot of stuff. Do not worry, we have your coordinates. I will come down to you and pick you up. There is a lot to explain.” There sure was a lot to explain. All of the sudden, it hit me like a ton of bricks. Picking me up? My grandfather, who I thought was dead and who probably did still think that I was dead, was about to meet me? I jumped out of my chair, walking up and down through the tiny room. Johnny woke up because I made such a noise while panicking from one corner of the room to another. “I’m sorry, my dear”, I said, walking up to him and petting his

When I open the door it was like a home filled with love and purity my ideal home it was just perfect. As soon as u walk in you see an average size kitchen on the right and a big bathroom with a bedroom on the left and when you keep walking straight there is a living room and a balcony with the most spectacular view of the pier and upstairs there is a bathroom and two rooms. For the first week or so it felt like I was in heaven waking up in the morning and looking upon the whole town covered in fog going to the rocks and looking for crabs, snails, and shells. One day we decide to go to the ocean and although it was cold we went and started searching for shells and then we found something that I happen to know what it was but never actually felt it alive and fresh out the water. I picked it up and showed it to my friend and we started running to the apartments and showed everyone what we found, everyone had their mouths open and started to touch it. There was a tiny voice that started to say to put the purple starfish back because it deserves to live and so i went back and tried to go as deep as I can to lay it down so no one will harm it. For many days we went to the beach till sunrise to sunset watching the tides rise and decrease and seeing the…

My sister was coming out of an unfortunate situation, so an exception was made. I was beyond excited, thinking this dog would be my new best friend, and I would take her everywhere with me. When my sister and the dog arrived, I found I was sorely mistaken. I tried to pet her, and she growled and avoided me. For two weeks I was sullen and disappointed; having a dog in the house, but not being able to interact with it was probably worse than not having a dog at all.…

I was completed drenched from head to toe, and I was shivering. As much as I wanted to get home as fast as I could, the rain got harder and slowed me down. As I approached the front door, I remembered how terrible my room looked, and it smelled awful. The bed was so old that whenever I laid on it, I would be afraid to fall through! I went upstairs leaving a trail of water behind me. I hesitantly opened the door to my room, preparing to scream.…

I looked at the speedometer and felt my heart leap as I went 110 miles per hour down the highway. I began to slow down, but as I did the sheriff passed me. After realizing that he wanted me to follow, I sped up once more and kept up with him. He kept his lights and sirens on as I followed him into Garden City, keeping up our same speed and only slowing enough to turn at a stoplight. We finally made it to the hospital.. It smells like linoleum, sickness, and blood. As I walked those halls to the emergency room it dawned on me like a punch to the throat that I could lose the last brother I had left. I might’ve lost the man who read me stories and taught me how to tie my shoes. Who comforted me after nightmares and always had my back. I’d lose him and it wouldn’t have even been his time yet. It wouldn’t be fair for him to lose his life at the age of 25 when he’d just bought a…
