Without pacing the narrative can become very flat and boring. It’s an essential part of every literature writing. So with pacing not only does it make the narrative interesting it also make the reader able to understand the story, so if something were to be paced fast it’s very likely that the reader won’t be able to understand the story at all or only understand bits and pieces of it. Evidence of pacing in stories could be found in “The Lottery”, “Metamorphosis”, “Carry”, and “Without a title.” Let’s start with Carry.
