The Legend Of Braileigh: Alpaca Dancer
On a warm April day, April the 1st to be exact something wonderful happened. It was the birth of an amazing, adorable, baby alpaca. Her name was Braileigh, she was wonderful in every way with bright white as snow fur and a pink rosy nose. Braileigh’s parents disappeared when she was only 6 weeks old, she was left all alone in this place she was newly introduced to and that was so huge compared to her. Braileigh spent one whole year wandering from town to town all by herself. She would have to eat whatever she could find to survive the battle she was facing and hope to see a light at the tunnel. Living in a town close by was this 6 year old little girl named Ellie with braided brown pigtails that laid gracefully on her shoulders. Ellie was …show more content…
Today was the alpaca showcase. Braileigh was contestant #6 and she was the only alpaca dancer except for one other alpaca named May Belle. May Belle was contestant #5 and she was also a really good dancer and it intimidated Braileigh. Braileigh, waiting her turn in line was kind of worried on how there was another dancer in the contest now. She decided she would go talk to May Belle and see if she was as worried as she was. Walking over to May Belle she instantly regretted it, “Hello...” said Braileigh “are you excited for your performance?”. May Belle turned around with an unpleasant look on her face and responds “Oh you must be my rival, if you even want to call it that.”. Braileigh still with a smile on her face responds “Yes, I am your rival and I wish you the best of luck!”. “Welcome to the stage, May Belle!” said the announcer. May Belle’s performance went perfectly until the music stopped and she forgot her counts. May Belle stopped dancing with a horrified look on her face and ran off the stage crying. Braileigh ran after her even after the rude comment May Belle said to her, she knew it was the right thing to do. May Belle saw Braileigh coming towards her and said “Stop! I don't feel like dealing with you right now!”. Braileigh began to reason with her and said “May Belle it’s not the worst thing in the world you will be okay. Did you see the judges?” May Belle responded in a depressed, soft no. “All

As the darkness outside began to disappear with the rising sun, she sat stroking the sleeping dog while thinking of the horrors he must have been through. As the clock on the wall rang in the hour, her mind was sent back to reality. She made her morning rounds and unlocked the door just slightly before eight. “ I love you Beanie!” I screeched out loud. Bean was my dog. I was hugging Bean so tight, it was like a small chokehold. Actually, I thought, it was more like a python, wrapping its slithery, scaly tail around its prey. “Be gentle, Riles.” My dad told me. I looked up, smiled, and nodded. “Okay!” I said joyfully. I let go of the hug, and watched Bean run across the backyard. I smiled and giggled. But, my smile faded, and I started staring at the ground. Today was the last day I would see, and hang out with my dog. I thought. Would Bean remember me? Will he have fun at his new house? Will he still be loved, and get as much attention, as he needs? All these questions floated over inside my mind. I turned them over and over inside my head, still…

There was once a time when I escaped the hustles of the world. I found myself walking alone in a dark and lonely street. Trash was scattered everywhere and the street was filled with rats. I was deeply moved and saddened by the frightful sight. While I was walking down the street, I saw a boy. The boy had eyes similar to a jaguar’s but showed signs of depression; he was so thin that his bones were clearly outlined under his skin and his clothes were half torn, half worn. I approached the boy and asked, “Why are you staying in such a place?” He replied, “I have nowhere to go.” “Then why stay here? Where is your home? Where are your parents?” I asked. Tears began to flow from his eyes while he told me his story, “My father left us when I was still 5 and my mother was just a struggling housewife at that time. My mother had to find a job so that she could support our financial needs but the only job she could find paid a low salary. To make matters worse, my brother had been infected with an unknown disease and was immediately rushed to the hospital. My mother was forced to work at a bar to earn extra money so she could pay for the hospital bill. Unfortunately my brother did not make it and died after several days. My mother had a mental breakdown because of the death of my brother and didn’t know where to get extra money to pay for my brother’s funeral. She then decided to leave me in this forsaken place and here I am now, waiting for death to come.” “Poor boy” I said while I hold him in my arms. “Come with me, we will go to your new home”. Then I carried the boy out of the lonely street.…
