Ackee's Death Of Akene-Personal Narrative
After the fight, I realise it was real late. I wander the streets, in order to get back home. It was dark, cool, and very eerie. I must have walked for miles, before I got to my street. By the time I got to my street, The first thing to cross my mind was “This is Ackee’s fault.” He shouldn’t have let me go grab that stupid burger. It had felt like a century since that happened.

I walk in my house. It was a whole lot warmer than It was outside. Ackee is sitting on the chair by the kitchen door. He has this worried expression on his face. He looks like something real bad had happened. But for me, that did not change the fact of how mad I was at him. In this very loud, booming tone, I say “What’s the matter?” His face turns into a sad face, like a dog who can’t find his home. He says “I was very worried, you alright buddy?” I say “No, I was never alright, I just got out there, and fought a big phony, just to win a stupid bet.” He starts crying. “Can you please forgive me?”

I then grab him by the shirt, and say “If you ever do something like that again, there will be heck to pay.” He then slumps down in his seat, and sighs. “I am so sorry, buddy. Please, let’s just put this behind us. I exclaim “No, I am never forgiving you for this. You really fricked up this time.”

I then walk out of the living room, and lay down in my bed. I look at the clock, It reads: 1:23 AM. I really was out too late, but this was all Ackee’s fault, I can’t forgive him for this. This was all on him.

I could hear Ackee crying, he is so pathetic, such a phony. I really am growing tired of

He let the ministries zip past (the pink, the white), and a series of stores on the main street, their windows flash ing. Now he was beginning the most pleasant part of the run, the real ride: a long street bordered withtrees, very little traffic, with spacious villas whose gardens rambled all theway down to the sidewalks, which were barely indi cated by low hedges. Abit inattentive perhaps, but tooling along on the right side of the street, heallowed himself to be carried away by the freshness, by the weightlesscontraction of this hardly begun day. This involuntary relaxa tion, possibly, kept him from preventing the accident. When he saw that the womanstanding on the corner had rushed into the crosswalk while he still had thegreen light, it was already somewhat too late for a simple solu tion. Hebraked hard with foot and hand, wrenching him self to the left; he heard thewoman scream, and at the collision his vision went. It was like falling asleep all at once. He came to abruptly. Four or five young men were get ting him out from under the cycle. He felt the taste of salt and blood, oneknee hurt, and when they hoisted him up he yelped, he couldn't bear the presssure on his right arm. Voices which did not seem to belong to thefaces hanging above him encouraged him cheerfully with jokes and assurances. His single solace was to hear someone else confirm that thelights indeed had…

I walked out of Miss Shnyzer’s office. It had been about an hour ago that Toby Kavner, my name, was called over the loudspeaker. I walked over to my mates, Max Lavell, Jimmy Cass and Dylan Dolan, who were tossing their apples over the wrought iron fence. They are too busy cracking jokes about some homework. I plump down beside Max and start crunching down on my ovalteenies.…

I awoke today with the light streaming into my room and hearing the birds chirping in the distance. As I regained my conscience, I smelled the mold and felt damp room conditions all around me that imprisoned me. It reminded me of what would have happened only in a nightmare. It was only yesterday that Corey, Nurse, Hale and I had gone to help the accused women. So many times I felt that I could win the battle, yet just as many times I could feel the rope slipping through my fingers.…

“My name is Ellie”. “Is it really? My dogs name is Ellie!” I didn’t know what to say to that so I just smiled. “Well I should get going” I said just as I was about to turn around. “Would you like to meet my dog?” Patty called after me. “I really must get going” I started to say when Patty interrupted me, “she’s right inside, I’ll go get her.” I waited outside for about 10 minutes before Patty came out with her dog. At first I thought it was a shaved rat, and that Patty had Alzheimer’s or something, but when she got closer I could see what it real was.…

The street’s familiar scent of tobacco and mint helped to calm my nerves. It wasn’t cold outside, however a chill grabbed at my back. The path to the station was instinctual, today it seemed foreign and alien. My steps were slow and without the usual spring, their movement matched the grim expression I wore on my face. I’m not normally one to want to be caught in the act of doing something wrong, but today, I was greatly dispirited, I wasn’t stopped. I would have thought someone cared more about me.…

It’s nearly seven o’clock before we leave the restaurant. I follow Mark to Haight Street, where we park our cars. The neighborhood has improved. Hip restaurants and shops have settled in replacing the old. Yet, the bohemian nature Mark and I loved remains. I search for the tattoo shop, where I had flowers painted on my face with henna, for a Halloween party at Vivian’s. I ask Mark if the store is still there.…

Awe Man! , “I thought I would never see him again”, she said. “Lord, why me? Is this punishment for popping Johnny’s little, red ball or breaking all his sticks so he wouldn’t be able to play that Indian game”, she thought. Whichever one it was please forgive me. All of sudden, a thought struck her head. “I can leave for a few days”. Mrs. Busybody quickly ran to my dresser and pulled out a week’s worth of clothes. What about my two cats’? , she thought. “I’ll just leave them here”. “My cats are missing limbs and ears and they’re beaten up. If they weren’t in such poor condition, I would gladly them with me”. But, Johnny decided he wanted to throw medium sized rocks at them. Poor cats, they haven’t been the same since then. She finished getting her items together. Mrs. Busybody walked outside to the old, raggedy, blue car in the drive way. She started driving and the car started making funny noises. The dusty, slow car broke down in front of a big cabin. The morning went so fast, I was slightly nervous about seeing Josie again since it had been three months since our last encounter. I put on a t-shirt and shorts on then stood in front of the mirror as I splashed my face with water. I looked at the clock and saw it was 11:50 so I grabbed my helmet and jacket as I pushed my motorcycle out the garage. It wasn’t until I got to the street before Subway that I realised my phone had fallen out of my pocket and I had left my wallet at home. I knew then I was going to be late and Josie was going to…

My adolescent legs strain as I continue along the path aimlessly and my stomach rumbles in emptiness as I realise, I left without food. How can one think of such things at a time like that? I most certainly didn't. Just minutes before leaving for an awesome party one doesn’t remember to do a lot of things and now the only thing dwelling in my gut is the sore pain that was the increasing hate for the cruel beings that have abandoned me here. Lost in my thoughts, my melancholic walking pattern is disrupted as my foot catches on a thick branch in the deceptive darkness and I fall swiftly face first into a small jagged rock. Dazed, I lift myself up from the ground and dust myself off. My left eyelid closes automatically as blood rolls down the top of my face. Cursing, I wipe my face with my white sleeve, soaking the cotton a blackish red instantly. The shock disperses and pain sets in, sharp agony mixed with a strange tingling sensation on my forehead.…

“Well come inside,” I said as I opened the front door. They all hurried in as quickly as possible to the warmth of my house. They all sat down thanking me for my kind deed. I told them, “Dinner will be ready to eat at ten.” It was 9:24 p.m. at the time. I went into the kitchen to get the chicken breasts ready to be eaten. As I was making the food, I heard a loud noise in the other room. I quickly ran into the other room to see what has happened. In the other room, one of the kids had knocked over one of my decorative vases. I asked, “What happened?” I watched as both of the kids stood and pointed towards each other. The father came in and looked at the damage. “I am so sorry,” he said, “I don’t know what has gotten into them.”The father helped me pick up the pieces and throw them away. After that, I walked back into the kitchen to finish the chicken. It was now 9:55 and I called for them…
