The Last Templar Khoury
The last templar is a suspense, mystery novel written by Raymond Khoury in 2005. The book was his debut work and was on the New York Times bestseller list for 22 months.

The medieval city of acre stands in flames as the enemy forces occupy the city. Only a small band of templar knights manage to escape the city on a ship with a secret destination. The ship however disappear without a trace. The knights also carried a mysterious chest with them who they were given to by their master, the leader of the order.
Some thousand years later in modern day New York, a great exhibition about Catholic artifacts is held for everyone interested to come.

In modern day New York an exhibition of Vatican treasures is held in the metropolitan museum of art. Outside of the museum four men in templar knights armour on

They have conflicts but nothing that really stands in the way of something and all their problems seems to be a bit too perfectly placed and most often they just go away. An example would be how the main character Tess in the beginning of the book struggles to find evidence that supports her theory of the museum heist. She has to find and talk to lots of different people to find information. A bit later in the book she just has the luck to bump into the exactly right person that she need to speak to for further information. This happens several times.

I think that the message of the book is somewhere along the lines of following your dreams and how hard work pays of. The main characters have in common that they all live simple lives with not much luxury, either because they work with their dream job or because they can’t work with their dream job. This simple way of life combined with their dreams is what makes the story. Without this the story could not take place.
We get to see how their dreams and hard work pays of and that is what makes me think that that is the

When considering cultures in collision a museum is a fine example of a clash of positives and negatives. This can be a troubling idea for the curators and visitors of museums because their collective pursuit of further cultural knowledge is often pure. However, in constructing a museum more often than not items of important significance are transplanted from their original location to be viewed and studied by a foreign people in a foreign land. The concept of the “rightful owners” of history and artifacts is a complicated one that leads to many cultural collisions. This is because multiple cultures often lay claim to the same artifacts leading to conflict among the claimants. With all of these ideas in mind the process of selecting a piece of art from the Cornell Fine Arts Museum for analysis became far more difficult. In examining the thought-provoking piece Lonesome George by Juan Travieso a warning message is telegraphed loud and clear.…

The Knights Templar were a monastic military order formed at the end of the First Crusade with the mandate of protecting Christian pilgrims on route to the Holy Land. Never before had a group of secular knights banded together and taken the monastic vows. In this sense they were the first of the Warrior Monks. The Templars fought along side King Richard I (Richard The Lion Hearted) and other Crusaders in the battles for the Holy Lands.…

The three characters that I mentioned above were all strong, hard willed people that did not believe in giving up. It gives a good life lesson to anyone reading the book that if you believe in something, reach towards it. Eventually you will reach that goal or you'll come close enough to satisfy yourself. the American Dream is a very broad idea that was brought up back in the early 1930’s. Every person had a different perception of what this dream was, but no matter what it was in your eyes, everyone still wanted to achieve…

The first chapter of the book gives a perspective of the different participants that took part of the Trials of The Templars. This is important because it gives the reader a perspective on the incentives of the actions of the participants. On October 13, 1307 King Philip IV ordered that all the Templars should be arrested and their assets seized. He charged the Templars with heresy and…

Many would argue it's a book about a boy finding himself spiritually in his quest to discover his treasure. This of course is an easy conclusion to come to, considering the not so subtle way the author, Paulo Coehlo, continually illustrates the point of a deep connection between all things in the universe. One would think there could be no other possible reason for writing this book.…

One main theme is the idea people who are poor will be treated bad. People are as cruel as the earth, maybe even more so, but their are good people out there. Good people help other people and so as much as humans get you down there will be someone to pick up the pieces. Hopefully before it breaks, and shatters, sometimes it’s in their to break things.…

The small conflicts are usually resolved without awful result, but sometimes they are not. A good example of that would be the two stories written by Flannery O 'Connor: "A good man is hard to find" and "Everything that rises must converge". The two short stories have different plots at first glance; however they do have many similar traits. With close observation one could say that, the characters in the stories that failed to get a feel for to their environment and the outside world have at the end of the day caused the death of their loved ones.…

Wrapped in mystery and intrigue, the Knights Templar stand out from the pages of history as the keepers of Catholicism’s greatest, most dangerous secrets. In legend, the Knights are known as the guardians of the Holy Grail, the Arc of the Covenant, and other Holy relics. Historically, they are remembered as the “Poor Fellow-Soldiers of Christ and of the Temple of Solomon,” the disciplined guardians to Christian pilgrims in the Holy Land. Although the order is one of the most intriguing secret societies, the literature written on the Templars is minute and thus it is one of the least understood societies in history. Sadly, the order’s important contributions to history are so vastly overshadowed by scandal and intrigue that fact and fiction have become “so intertwined that extracting a pristine truth is almost impossible" (Macintyre 1). The information that is known, however, proves that the order’s significance is far greater than the persistent legends that encompass the popular perceptions of the Knights Templar.…

In some of the reviews written by various scholars who specialize in the field of the medieval period, certain criticisms arose in regards to the various aspects of the film. Some of these areas of concern were the historic accuracy of the film, the political correctness of its allegations, and the fear that the film itself would reinvigorate long-standing animosity between Christians and Muslims. While some of the scholars have historical sources to back their words, some are simply voicing their opinions behind the guise of defending historical accuracy when depicting actual events in Hollywood films.…

I like this movie. If you like documentaries, it would be a great movie to watch. Also, if you like businesses, and the way it is managed, then this movie will be enjoyable. There are lots of scenes where we can look back at ourselves and think what we have done in our life; what kind of obstacles we have overcome and what kind of efforts we put in to overcome the obstacles. The main characters, Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne are the people who made a great company, starting in a garage. They made tremendous effort and took a lot of risks to make their dream come true. Here are three reasons why you should watch this movie.…
