California has been at an ongoing war with its self for many years on water regulations for several years. California has been in a drought for about 8 years and the state is starting to regulate water but the people have a different idea. If California decides to keeps these strict water regulations there economy will suffer. Water regulations will make the economy suffer because the amount of jobs farmers provide would shrink horrendously. Pete Belluomini the vice-president of Farming for Lehr Brothers Inc. said that “if they regulated water he would have to look at buying less pickups, employing less people” (Source 1).
