The Importance Of Being A Mizzou Tiger
It would not be much of a stretch to say that being a Mizzou Tiger runs in my blood. I grew up getting plenty of exposure to Mizzou from my grandmother, a diehard Tigers fan that attends almost every home basketball game, my mother, who is herself a Mizzou alumnus, as well as my older cousins who both graduated from Mizzou, giving the University a constant presence in my life. Then, as I reached high school I received additional exposure to the University as a result of it hosting the state tournaments for Speech and Debate, Science Olympiad, and basketball throughout my four years, however I truly fell in love with Mizzou when I came to visit for a Scholar’s Day event the summer before my senior year.     Enthusiast constantly swarm the red-bricked side walk that encloses the names of people who donate to Mike’s habitat. The basketball stadium emits loud soulful music and conversations of fans as they gaze into the enclosure surrounds the once nice and peaceful place. The amount of people slowly increases dramatically as more supports arrive at LSU. Adults’ and children’s excited looks steadily turn to disappointment as they realize that the enclosure is empty.
