The Hero's Journey Of Jaguar Paw
Following Zero Wolf's death, the two remaining raiders chase Jaguar Paw to the beach. When they catch up with him, they stop, staring at the sea where a small fleet of of conquistador ships anchored off the coast and Christian Europeans making their way ashore. Mesmerized, Monkey Jaw and Ten Peccary approach the shoreline while Jaguar Paw races back to his family. He finds that Seven has just given birth and pulls his family out of the hole. Sometime later, as the reunited family look out from the forest toward the Spanish ships, Seven wonders if they should go to the men. Jaguar Paw says they should return to the forest to seek a new beginning. This ending scene relates to the people of the Caribbean, central and South America because it portraits the beginning of how America came to be as it is today. it represents the historical background of our roots and how the European innovations affected the natives. The theories depicted at the end of the movie are force theory and divine theory.
