The Controversy Of Banning Slang In Schools
A school in London banned students from using slang or incorrect words (“BBC”). Slang is defined as incorrect ways of using words. Schools have banned students from using slang in the classroom so they can better prepare themselves for future careers (“The Independent”). “Slang is lazy and makes people that use it look ignorant” says Alexis Acquire (”Students”). There are times when slang isn’t acceptable and slang is one of them. You should always think about when and where you are when you say something. Schools should ban slang so that students can prepare themselves to know when they should use it. The first reason slang should be banned in schools is because it makes a person look uneducated.
